3.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"A gorgeous property. What to know: You don’t need to take anything. If you’re water obsessed like me: the bath is luke warm and the shower has low water pressure but is nice and hot (only downside of the whole property). Amazing communication throughout! A cosy home perfect for a bookworm it’s literally the definition of peacefulness! An hour from two gorgeous beaches. Everyone in the village (not that many people) but all extremely friendly! "

"Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable). Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room. Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves. I recommend the vegan curry."

The Brigands Inn
4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (120)
"Loved it. Room was adequate (once you’ve got used to all the creaks and bumps). This is a 16th century building in all its glory. Food was plentiful, well cooked and hot. Although our room over looked an island there was no problem with road noise. There was plenty of parking front and rear. Cannot sing it’s praises enough, in fact we’ll be going back just as soon as we can. Loved it!"

8.4 out of 10, Very good, (7)
"This is a GEM of a B&B! It’s tucked away in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountains, and is an absolute slice of heaven. The mansion is truly beautiful, and has been renovated with an eye for design and careful respect of its past. The antique furnishings were so perfectly chosen for each room, and the bathrooms were modern and classy. Our two rooms were both very generously sized, and both had rooftop patios overlooking the mountains in the distance. Breakfast was divine - fine dining in...

"I have read some of the reviews and sometimes wonder what people expect. We stayed in a two bedroom classic bungalow and was impressed with the space and fittings of our accommodation. There is some room for improvement if critical and is not really worth mentioning here. We did not use any of the facilities onsite but we received a warm welcome on arrival and were very accommodating. We could see the pool and had a look at the small gym both looked looked good. Did not see the steam room. Our...

"Huge place and comfortable enough. TV has no signal and there was no sign of a wifi code and no connection that I could make, so pointless having a tv in the place as not useable. Rooms were comfortable and big, bathroom is very nice too, shower needs some attention though as the top head is so limescales it sprays over the top of the shower and on to the floor, and there is some bad mould on the base, door runners also not working properly. Great location and for the size of the place not...
