"Good overnight stay in Salisbury. Room wasn't quite ready when I arrived, but the staff looked after my bag, so I could take a walk around the city centre and visit the cathedral. My room was very comfortable and quiet, even with the heavy rain overnight. I had a lovely breakfast the following morning. The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing, as everything is within 15 minutes walk. Only downside is the small car park."

"Well located on a quiet street (St Peter’s) close to the High Street w/shops, bakeries, restaurants galore. Historic property from 1500’s renovated and renovated but still felt the history. Rooms down this or that twisty hallway are pretty much the same size, just large enough, Room w/garden view would be preferable. No robes or slippers but tea pot and biscuits in rooms. Off street parking, although we didn’t use it. Need to be a bit careful in bathroom as shower can spray outside of glass barrier, but manageable. Front desk staff helpful. Customer service oriented. Nice stay."

The River Avon flows past the front of the Rose and Crown property. A beautiful settling and a privilege to be able to stay here! If you love history, this is the place to stay in Salisbury."
