Perched on its namesake bay, Los Frailes is a secluded beach comprising a long stretch of sand bordering crystal clear water. At its northwestern end rises the beach’s namesake rock formation, creating a stunning backdrop as it branches into the sea. Admire the tranquility and scenery of one of the East Cape’s most spectacular beaches.
The bay is particularly quiet and spacious, with few lodging options and restaurants. Rent kayaks to take out on the gentle waves in this national park area. Bring snorkeling gear and take your kids swimming in the clear water of the Gulf of California for a glimpse of the colorful aquatic life. Watch fishermen casting for their dinner but note that fishing is prohibited for non-locals.
