"Loved the old style Hollywood feel, the floors, decor, history of the building and staff. Location was close to the Lowes Chinese theater, and hollywood stars. We felt safe although it can get busy outside. The staff at the hotel were very professional, responsive and courteous. Consistently cleaning and keeping everything in excellence. Valet team was always very kind. Front Desk always greeted us and smiled. Room was very clean, turndown service and it is quaint. It was a small room but it was all we needed. There was a wedding event while we were there, so we only saw the pool on one evening while it was closed, but the ambiance was beautiful. Depending on what floor and side of the building you stay on, it can get loud due to outdoor traffic and the music from the events but our room was facing the sidewalk, so we only heard some of it. My husband is a light sleeper and he slept through it all. The noise did not impact our stay. We only wish that we could have seen more of the property, but the events prevented that. I would not count on the hotel amenities to be your primary venture, unless you're renting the space. Because events will take priority. The staff will send you text messages to make you aware of most closures. Nevertheless, we had a full itinerary outside of the hotel, so this did not derail our stay. We would stay again because it was great for what we needed."
