Place was convenient to the tube station, friendly staff, reasonably priced breakfast. Clean room , fresh sheets. I have no issue with the small bathroom, however a bathroom mat outside the shower would be preferred also to prevent accidental slipping from water splash. I would book again on my future visit.
The Swinton Hotel did the trick foran affordable short night before heading to Heathrow at 0500. The room was super clean, and bed comfy tho everything on small scale. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Convenient to Kings Cross station after visiting York.
this is definitely a budget hotel, which is fine. All we wanted was a place close to the train station for 1 night. It satisfied that need. Biggest complaint is lack of any hooks or bars to hang a towel in the bathroom. Also peeling paint in bathroom. Room was very small, but one night was alright. Staff (especially Yai) were very helpful and helped overlook other shortcomings. I would not recommend for extended stay.
I srayedvwith my husband announced 2 sons for 2 nights in a family room at Swinton. The staff was very friendly and everything was easy. The mattresses of all 4 beds were really comfortable and the room/ bathroom was newly renovated and very clean. The bathroom was quite small but had a big shower. We would definitely recommend it!
Good basic hotel with adequate facilities, close to Kings Cross
Staff are lovely and very helpful
Breakfast is continental though there is a fair choice
Only downside was location with loud music and voices coming from 2 cars below my room and motorbikes using the road as a race track through the night but this is not the hotels fault
Overall, recommended for overnight stay.
This was an ideal place to stay for my trip and I found the hotel to be clean, quiet and comfortable.
From my arrival to my departure, every interaction with the staff was excellent and not just from Front Of House staff either.
I had a couple of requests that were dealt with straight away and without fuss. Much appreciated after a long day travelling!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and I plan on booking it again when I'm next in the area.
Great stay. We arrived earlier than check in but room was ready. Friendly reception staff letting us know everything. Room was compact but it was clean and plenty of tea coffee and biscuits. Really central for our needs . Would stay again.
Perfect logistical location from Kings Cross/ St Pancreas/Euston to my meet with son at LSE, then onward day in C. London & diner at Kai, Mayfair. Perfect stay, many thanks
The staff at this hotel are the best ive ever come across in London. They were so welcoming and went above and beyond to help with everything. The hotel itself is fine, lovely communal garden area
The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross station and underground. The staff are very helpful,we had a problem with a TV in one of the rooms, they asked if my wife and daughter wanted to change rooms. A little negative for mine and my son's room was there no bed side lights and no draws or storage of any sort but the room and the small amount of time we spent in it was fine. The continental breakfast was ok and enough, shame not being able to have fresh coffee but that's the curse of COVID.
The hotel looks nice and clean. Must have been recently redecorated. The only real downfall is how uncomfortable the mattress was. it was so thin it was like sleeping on cardboard, although that would have been more comfortable. My partner and had two almost sleepless nights which
