We stayed here on the evening on Sat 7th May to allow my wife and I to attend a concert in the Hammersmith Eventim. Location was great, a brief 10 minute walk to the arena.
Overall we had a good stay at the Prince of Wales. It wasn't the best room we'd ever had, but for London prices it was nice and suitable for purpose. The room was fresh, though the mattress on the bed was a little too soft for my wife and I, and the bedhead also had an annoying squeak every time we moved. Everything you could want in a room was provided however, flat screen TV, hairdryer, fan and kettle. One point of note regards the kettle and in fairness we didn't notice until very late at night, there were no coffee sachets available and only one pod of milk, so it was a case of having to share a cup of tea first thing in the morning. Not a biggie of course, however attention to detail does make all the difference.
Check-in was very slick and the gentleman who checked us in couldn't have been any more helpful, taking us to the room to show us the location and offering to carry any bags we had due to stairs.
Although we were attending a concert on the evening, we did sample the food, my wife opting for a chicken goujon starter with fries on the side which she really enjoyed, with myself opting for fish and chips. Although the fish was not of the highest quality, it was tasty and cooked well.
Overall then it was a good overnight stay and we would certainly look to use the facility again if in the area.
