Arrived at the hotel early morning, 8 am, with a room booked from the previous night, after a 14 hour flight. Room was not ready and I was asked to wait an hour to an hour and a half for housekeeping to clean the room. I canceled the entire reservation and walked across the street with my bags to the Four Seasons, where I immediately got a room and was not charged for the prior night. Admittedly, i have frequented the Four Seasons Park Lane and this was an attempt at testing another hotel. I will not be returning to the Intercontinental. Advice for others, don't change your standards as you can only be disappointed if you have expectations.
