Nice clean quirky room well organised city Covid preparations
Bar and restaurant were closed due to the pandemic but I have visited them before and found them to be very good
Overall an excellent stay for the cost
Lovely weekend at the Bear Inn.. quick check in, room was quirky, but very clean, linen and towels good quality. All staff very helpful and friendly. We are not vegetarians, however we ate at the Bear both evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food. Woul definitely recommend a visit.
Wonderful hosts although had to wait for the room to be ready despite booking 2 months in advance. Friendly staff and big room.

Not impressed
The hotel is in great spot- a walk away from pubs and cafes of Llandovery. The car has to be parked on a public car park right by the castle, only £1.5 for the whole day and literally a minute walk from the hotel.
No breakfast served at the property.
The Room was really dated, strange decor , the toilet was making a lot of noise every time the water was flushed, no curtain blinds to stop the sun shining from very early morning into your face. TV not working.
Poor quality of woodwork and painting everywhere.
There are new owners taking over the business so hopefully they will make some improvements as it has potential.
Too expensive for what you get.

Perfect for an overnight stay. Although quite dated, it was more than comfortable.

Very quirky property! Had a very good and Covid-safe welcome. Unfortunately, they weren’t opening for food until the following week but we had a very nice dinner in the nearby Kings Head.
The room was clean and the shower was great - only criticism, the mattress is very thin and somewhat uncomfortable- If that was replaced, I’d have given full rating.
