"We booked a junior suite for a 2 night stay in Newcastle in April. My wife found this hotel online as we wanted to stay in town for a change. We arrived by car - option of valet parking (£40) or park at the lot behind the hotel - hotel as an air of Ralph Lauren interiors about it and the room was very clean. Some issues; the window light left watching TV impossible and the bath wasn't able to produce hot water. Oddly the sink and shower were fine. The bar area was dimly lit (not dark) and beautifully furnished. I ordered what turned out to be the best White Russian I have had in a long time. The restaurant was equally luxurious. I ordered the duck salad, which became my instant favorite, and we both ordered steak, fries and sauce with rocket salad. Still think about it today. Everyone we met, from housekeeping to front of house, was great and we look forward to a future stay."

"Nice pool for the kids but there was a waiting list to get in, good breakfast but we were lucky to get in straight away as a big line started at about 930. Nice staff"

"Lovely hotel with excellent rooms. We had a disabled room (which I didn’t ask for) so we had a slightly odd and amended bathroom. The sink was very low. I don’t think the hotel is quite finished though. The only bar is the Fire Station which was very “towny” with a DJ playing the loudest dance music at 4pm on a Saturday. We didn’t stay for long. This is a v different ambience to other Gothams we’ve stayed in. Probably wouldn’t stay again as it looks like the hotel is aimed at a different clientele to me."
