Majestic mountains and great accommodations

Great combination of location, comfort, and service. I arrived solo, but the guests are as friendly as the staff. Looking out the window of my room as the sun came up over the mountains, terrifying in their beauty, I could only think, “I might have died without ever seeing this place!”

Amazing location! Nothing was really open in Gimmelwald because we were there at the end of the season. There is a shared kitchen available if you bring your own food. There was breakfast available with bread fresh from the oven. Beds and bathrooms were very clean by hostel standards. There were a lot of other young people from the US and Europe there, but some older folks as well. Had a very fun evening hanging out with the other travelers. Would definitely stay there again.
