Really nice hotel in a great location, don't fool yourself into thinking you can walk there with you case from the station though - It's not far but it's a massive hill. The staff throughout could not be more helpful and friendly, they really make the stay. The only thing is that it is very expensive, breakfast is CHF40 and diner at any of the hotel's restaurants is very expensive (but also very nice!!). There are plenty of good alternatives within an easy walk though. I would highly recommend...

Because of environmental regulations they do not have air conditioning but our room had a very effective fan which was more than sufficient. Loved this hotel, a very luxurious feel to it. Rooms were spacious and we had an adjoining room which was just as large and even had a bath and shower. It is situated quite high up, so would be quite a climb if not too fit, however there is a free travel pass in Lausanne (and in Switzerland) that you will be given for metro, buses and trains. We had the buffet breakfast which was tasty and set us up for the day. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and gave us advice on what to see...
