Property is run down , with many key locked doors broken and wide open to access. I stayed there with the reviews of other guests. The front desk person tried to charge me double of the rate as I secured through Expedia. But matched the pricing via my email confirmation.
I would recommend staying somewhere else!!!!
Avoid this hotel at all costs. The hotel looked like it was abandoned. The exterior was damaged and poorly maintained. The hallways smelled of marijuana and the drop ceiling in the hallway had holes. I thought we were on candid camera at first. It seriously looked like an abandoned hotel from a movie.
I consider the money lost a donation to Expedia.
Disappointed that there was construction, leaky roof, pool noise until late at night, hot tub signage and advertising but not available, and an elevator that made my husband fear for his life.
Room was very dirty we cleaned it and we had to buy our own blankets

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The upgraded extended stay room was fantastic inside. No laundry facilities for an extended stay doesn't make much sense to me. Telling me I'd be loitering if I sit down until my room is ready was unreasonable.
The property is very, very old and repairs haven’t been kept up with. Rain drips from the ceiling into the indoor pool. The picture on Expedia must be very old because the pool ceiling was actually falling.
From the outside, you can see that many rooms are not in use. There are torn curtains, pillows shoved into the spaces where ac units once were and trash piles in what was once a courtyard.
Hallways smell of food that leaks in from the restaurant next door and it’s not a good smell.
Trash cans were places in the middle of the hallways to catch rain that leaked in.
It seems as though restoration is happening, but the quality of the work being done is not the best. Ethernet cables are stapled to interior walls along the hallways.
In my opinion, they should close the hotel until it’s ready for the public.
This place is not what you think by looking at the pictures. If you look closely, there is no pictures of the rooms. Breakfast is not free, you must have voucher. The pool is dirty and there is alot of construction going on. I will not be staying there again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
They are under construction, large hole in the outside wall where anybody could get in. side entry door for customers didn't have a lock. very dirty hallways. The room itself wasn't bad, but needed some repairs and we had a dirty towel in our stack.
The floor was sticky. Clearly it had not been clesned in a while. The bathroom llight did NOT work. This is unsafe, dangerous, and easily a lawsuit award for on occupant incurring an accident.
Will never book with any MainStay property again.

The staff was very nice but they currently (October 2025) have a cockroach issue. The area was sold out so I was stuck - there was a dead one on the bathroom floor upon check-in and a live one waiting for me the next night. I kept my bags with me in the car when I left the room for the day. The room was recently renovated and had vinyl floors - it seemed clean but the bugs were gross. I was offered another room in the hotel but it was dingy looking with stained curtains. They are spraying to kill the bugs - but I will never return to that property.

It just felt and looked dirty. It was a cheap stay, and somewhere to sleep, but didn’t feel that safe. There were multiple doors with doorknobs missing/completely broken off. Ceiling tiles in the hallway drooped down. The beds weren’t that comfortable. Also, there were no plugs by the bed, which was just kinda weird. Not a super big issue, more of a minor inconvenience, but in this modern “tech” life having a phone close to the bed that your sitting in or laying in, is very common, so not being able to charge it right next to you was just weird.
We were extremely disappointed in this hotel. We brought our grandkids for the weekend and were in lansing for our sons wedding. The pool was freezing so we could not swim. The room was awful. The heater smelled like a rotten animal whether on heat or cold and the curtains had what looked like blood all over them. I would not give the kids a shower in the tub as it looked like it had not been clean. Two pillows had blood stains on the pillows themselves and there was black stuff that resembled big pepper chunks in the bed ruffle so we removed those completely. Honestly we have stayed in a worse place only one time. We could not get a refund to switch hotels or else we would have. This place is awful. The lady at the desk was wonderful.
