We have stayed in this hotel, and it was just fine. The main wing of building is being rebuilt and it looks great, but will not be ready until fall. We were put into a very old "original" wing of the hotel which was quite run down and dirty. We had never stayed there before. When I shared my displeasure with the hotel manager she sent a partial refund. I am satisfied with the out come

There was a horrible smell in the room and was dirty. I felt unsafe. I ended up getting a different hotel for a stay and didn’t stay at this one.

This is an old building and it shows. It was clean and adequate, though tired. They are building a big, new hotel up the hill from this older building, and then will retire this old one for use with staff. The front desk people were very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Good location

There were pictures online showing a pool and additional buildings. No pool as it was torn down. The lady who checked me in was pleasant and offed to let me out of the reservation then when I took her up on that nice offer she refused and became rather unpleasant. This place is nothing like the photos that are displayed. Stayed at a different place that was MUCH nicer all around. Look for a different place and enjoy how nice Lake Placid is.

See this available? -ignore it go somewhere else.
This will never repeat itself- cheap dirty bad beds dirty carpet stained furniture- smell-no cable tv-no one answered front desk phone. We had no choice all hotels full - but this hotel should be closed - it’s like a cheap motel- please do yourself a favor do not stay here -
