"My husband and I had a really beautiful stay at this beautiful, boutique hotel. It was so perfect. The staff were thoughtful and kind, the property was so gorgeous and relaxing. The pool was cute and they also provided sunscreen, lotion, and beach chairs. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was the best - such an intentionally crafted menu! I keep asking my husband when we can go back!"

"The property was quite charming, nice lobby and the sunset was very nice from the rooftop bar. However, the room was very bad, there was a bad smell the minute you open the door, an obvious moisture problem (window edges were also in a very bad shape), the room was so small we barely managed to fit it, especially because of the cooling device that was in the middle of the floor, blocking the desk area completely. Location was good and we appreciated the free parking but definetly not recommended overall."

"Very cute place to stay, away from the noise of the main strip but a very short walk to the trolley stop to get into the main part of town. Complimentary wine was served between five and six pm, fresh cookies were out at night and coffee in the morning, all in the lobby area. There is a coffee shop on the corner and the Royal Hawaiian Restaurant is also very close by. A beautiful park is about a half a block behind the hotel and it’s worth taking a walk down there at sunset, at night and during the day! Parking has a fee but it is so convenient to have the parking there!! Parking spaces are difficult to find in the area! We would stay again!"

"Updated rooms and beautiful beach view"

"We had a balcony one row of houses back from the ocean. We saw a beautiful sunset, a whale, dolphins and a rocket launch while sitting on our balcony. The bathroom is small but usable. We rented beach chairs and beach towels from the front desk which was very convenient. There is quite a bit of road noise but earplugs did the trick while sleeping luckily a house under construction right off our balcony was not overly noisy."

"I will treat anyone to a meal at one of the eateries recommended by this place if they can find a hotel that beats Laguna Beach Surf Lodge in level of customer service. Kyle and Gabe (manager and valet) convey pure pleasure at serving you, talking to you, getting right on whatever you need. I forgot how much of a difference it makes to be welcomed this way. Beyond that, its location, location, location. You can’t turn around without being awestruck and nurtured by beauty, fresh tangy air, and nooks and crannies to perch and take it all in. This old lady of a hotel has charm out the wazoo. It also needs a bit of coddling, but the staff does everything within their power and then some to make it right. For a fairly affordable stay in paradise, you will do yourself a favor by booking your stay at Laguna Beach Surf Lodge and let the team and the property work its magic. We cant wait to return. "
