Overall great experience at LaRio over 5 days
We had only positive experiences overall and specifically related to our 5 day stay at LaRio Hotel. The hotel itself is new, very well designed with particular attention to detail. Everything in the fridge was complimentary which was great for the kids! The A/C ran cold, the shower was hot, the room was clean, everything worked! We had an adjoining room and one of them had a bunk bed which was perfect for our kids. We even needed an extra bed in the kids' room which fit nicely. The staff was very helpful and we had no trouble communicating with them in English. Breakfast was great -- with fried rice, eggs, fruits, bread, juices and coffee/tea. A very convenient and tasty was to start the day. We didn't use the pool although it looked inviting. The hotel itself is off the main road which was perfect -- no road noise but were less than a minute from restaurants and shops. Finding a tuk-tuk was not difficult although we did walk down to Ao Nang beach most of the time. The hotel has a shuttle service a few times during the day which would be convenient. The one time we considered using it Uma (General Manager) graciously drove us further than the shuttle would have to Riley beach. We were able to get laundry done easily with the front desk where they arranged to have it sent out. The staff at the front desk was knowledgeable about the area and the available activities. They arranged transportation back to the airport after we checked out with a good taxi service.

Relaxing stay with the mountain view
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this brand new hotel. It is tucked away in a little alley, but it was only 10 mins away to all the major food stalls on foot; 20 mins to Aonang beach. Our suite is very comfortable and spotless with the western bathroom. It is a minimalist' cocoon, home away from home with the view of cliffs. We also love the complimentary breakfast. It is a nice size of buffet counter with the high quality of food. If you want a cozy boutique hotel without a big price tag, you will find LaRio perfect.

Bad service from receptionist
Very bad experience as the receptionist is not helpful at all. (Referring to the medium length hair lady) whenever we need help , she always reject us and not being want to help us to resolve issues. I never been treated in this way for my past year experience in others stay in Thailand . Really bad and please avoid this hotel . Aside that the pool is too small and the room quite small too. Overall nothing surprise us and not worth

super friendly, upgrade was very much appreciated
from check in to check out we were super impressed with the service here. hotel staff are VERY friendly, helpful and always smiling. room was fantastic - very comfortable. we missed our original night here because our flight was delayed but the hotel was accommodating and tried to sort out another night for us as a swap which was really kind of them and they upgraded our room and we spent the evening in the tub on the balcony! breakfast was really good too and the lady sorted our boat ferry transfer to our onward destination without any drama. best service in krabi - a lot of other places it was less than average!

Staff was outstanding. Sheets had stains every day. Breakfast was ok. The "call to prayer" songs from the nearby mosque were a bit early in the morning and hard to sleep through. It's no fault of the hotel, but you should be prepared for this.

Cozy and clean hotel
We had an enjoyable stay in the hotel which is walking distance to Ao Nang beach. Along the way there's many restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel is clean and cozy. The breakfast provided is great although not much varieties.

Hotel location is not so good as other hotels.
1. Room does not has basic necessities as mirror only one small one in bathroom 2. No liquid hand wash available in hotel 3. No bathroom door mat available which makes the room wet when you step outside bathroom with wet legs 4. Balcony view very pathetic 5. No staff available in hotel, they have one or two ladies they always sit at reception, during our check in during evening, there was no staff to even help us to carry luggage 6. Poor shuttle service to and fro beach, the shuttle guy fooled us, and we waited for one hour in hot sun and had to come walking to the hotel 7. Hotel staff not apologizing and never accepted any of these problems whenever we conveyed them to them 8. Most importantly hote doesn't has its own restaurant for lunch and dinner. So it's not going to have a pleasant stay if one just wants to relax on hotel in evening. Overall not recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel. Better to pay little bit more rather than suffer here.

We have informed the Expedia team to aware about your action since your arrival at the first night that asked us about the Cake shop around 21.00 hrs. and requested us the special offer for free of charge. On your check-in time in that night, our receptionist have assist you to bring your luggage to your room. Part of shuttle service, we have informed you that you need to confirm us the timing but you didn't informed anything and expected that the driver will go to pick you up without any information. So I was the person who apologized you in that day after you came back and blamed us. Suddenly when we heard that you couldn't satisfied on our service, we provided you a massage for free of charge for two times to do all apologize and to show how we care our guest. We would like thank you for bringing your overall experience to our attention. We do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our management team have tried to reach out to you but were unsuccessful using the details you have left with us. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel for a better stay. Das Hotel hat erst seit ein paar Monaten geöffnet. Zu Fuß sind es 15 Minuten zum Strand. Unterwegs kommt man an vielen Restaurants, Bars und Geschäften vorbei. Der Pool ist relativ klein, also höchstens zum Planschen oder drin sitzen geeignet. Das Buffet beim Frühstück bietet eine kleine Auswahl an. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auf dem Zimmer wird man mit Früchten und Getränken begrüßt. Zudem gibt es kostenlose Handtücher für den Strand und einen Strandkorb dazu.
