The Good:
Breakfast was varied and plentiful
The pool was nice, albeit a bit chilly initially
Hotel overall was clean and serviceable
Lots of stuff around: massages, mini-marts, restaurants, good night market food... beach is about a ten minute walk (although faster if you don’t have small children slowing you down ;) )
The Meh:
Beds were very firm - a bit of a challenge to sleep on
It took a long time for the rooms to be made up during the day
They only give one key per room, and to get a second key you have to give a deposit of 500 baht. Mildly annoying if you and the person you share a room with decide to go separate ways, but it ended up not being too big of a deal.
Most of the rooms overlook the pool, so noise can travel, but we were never unduly bothered.
