Service was excellent.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and good value although i would like to see hotel allow access to blue lagoon pool at no charge. The australian receptionist was an asset to hotel and helped with minor problems.

It was raining during our first night. When we turned on the A/C, water poured out of it. Not dripped. Poured. They were great and changed our room with no fuss, however. Now, the issues for both of the rooms that we had: There were stains on all of the bedding and towels. They were sanitized, but it's still a little gross. There was a super loud concert blaring very nearby until 1AM. You could also hear airplanes very easily through the room, as it's right next to the airport, but thankfully none fly at night. The light switches in the room make no sense :/ The reception desk is unmanned between 11PM and 7AM, which was very inconvenient when we had to return all the way to our room and leave our keycard in it.

There’s no facial tissue paper in the room. Overall the room is clean and spacious and hotel location is accessible to many restaurants and night life. Realised after I book the package of hotel and flights together through Expedia, the rate of the hotel is much higher than individually booked separately. Disappointed with Expedia. Thought supposed to be cheaper if book both hotel and flight together. Misrepresentation!

Don't stay this hotel. I was awaken at very early morning by the sudden noise coming from the next room. Young boys and girls of next room came back from the clubs, I guess. Huge sound of music and roud conversation and other things kept on and on, so I couldn't get back to sleep. I phoned to a hotel manager and security about the trouble but they were not willing to act. I phoned almost ten times before they finally come. My sleep had been disturbed almost two hours. But the hotel admitted no responsibility for the trouble. The manager forced me to pay full charge. Terrible. Really terrible hotel.

Great rooms, great value for money.
Hotel design is a bit cold, could do with lots of plants around the place and seems that only half of it's in use but the rooms are superb, big and clean overlooking the ridiculously long pool. Great value for money and only 10 mins to mango and you can use the beach over the rood at the blue lagoon.

Do not come here!!! give only 1 key to the room, the rooms are fine but the long distance you will need to go is terrible about 300 Meters from the lobby to the room. All the trail from the street to the hotel looks like parking garage. The pool is very big and the rooms are good but that is the only thing good about this hotel. Do your selves a favor and do not come here.

Has potential
Annoying hotel, the WiFi is useless and doesn’t hardly work. There is a kettle and tea cups, but no coffee or tea. The doors slam, which wakes you up. There’s no phone in room to call reception. There’s work being done on the roof which starts early. The TV in all rooms has a bad signal and none of the Channels hardly work. Connecting door in room, so you can hear your next door neighbour talking. With that said, the rooms are big and spacious and the pool is massive. OK for the price if you can put up with all the annoying things.

Terrible WIFI and noisy construction work....
Great hotel, really modern and new with big pool..... the only let down was the WiFi.... if you work online like me, it's impossible to get a decent connection. It's slow and keeps timing out. I had to make an important Skype call and it was just impossible. There was also some building work on the roof that started early and woke me up everyday.

Amazing hotel! Very clean room/hotel, comfy beds, huge plush towels, and quiet for sleeping. Huge showers with awesome water pressure. Absolutely amazing pool! The longest pool I've ever seen. And clean! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Potential to be great
This hotel hasn’t quite finished construction yet. The rooms are stunning and the pool is amazing at 108m and close proximity to the beach and bars. There was only one member of staff working here when I stayed and the WiFi was extremely patchy and my safe broke, but I think these are all just teething problems for a hotel with great potential!

Excellent value
Having just returned this morning from a two week stay, I’m more than qualified to write this comment. This hotel ( the teak ) Is basically a sister wing to the Blue Lagoon hotel across the road the beauty of this is that all the facilities a lovely pool and access to the beach with very nice son loungers is a once available if you stay at the teak although it also has a nice pool as well. The room at teak is very spacious and has lovely facilities and very comfortable. My only criticism would be it is very difficult to get in contact with the hotel reception because there is no phones in the room - And you have to walk there which by holiday standards is too far! The building is obviously not finished but that in no way impacts on the standard of the room itself or the enjoyment of the holiday I did have a small issue with the water not going down in the shower room which was finally resolved but they were excellent about it even change my room and offered me a free taxi back to the airport on the day of my departure from the island. So all in all highly recommended!

Hotel still under construction (August 2018)
Not pre-informed that the hotel is not complete. Restaurant and bar not available. Construction work on-going on rooms - drills, hammers etc. going from 9am on. Impressive lobby and great rooms - pool is impressive (108m long... but all about 1.6m deep - no shallows). Probably will be a great hotel when finished - in the meantime, you have access to the sister hotel (Blue Lagoon - restaurant/bar, pool, beach, gym?) facilities across the road. And to add to the multiple warnings, Chaweng is a party town so expect loud thumping music until at least 4am - a room on the ground or first floor or in the wing away from the town centre may help to dull the sound if you need quiet to sleep.

The hotel will be very nice when it's finished. The pool is amazing. The rooms are really nice and clean, you are totally unaffected by the works at the hotel. The check in process was a little unorganised, we were told that we’d have to wait half an hour for a key card. I don’t feel as though the hotel is fully functional as far as the “service” is concerned, but not a big issue. We had a power cut on the first night which affected the whole street, don’t know if this is a regular thing or a one off. Good stay for a few days, very close to the main strip. Honestly can’t complain with the price you’re paying. I’m sure once it’s finished it will be pricey!

Large new hotel with huge swimming pool
New hotel, only 1/3 of the rooms open, somewhat bare and other parts still being finished, with huge swimming pool about 100metres long. The hotel was quiet, not many guests, which was ideal. Rooms are well equipped with new wooden furniture. All clean, quiet so a good stay for me. No restaurant yet or some of the usual facilities but not a problem for me: just check the list of amenities. Room rate was very good value for this quality but see above for reasons. It’s located at one end of town, convenient for airport but not walkable. Taxis try to rip you off - getting a metered one seems impossible, otherwise it is 300B (can negotiate if flagging down to 200B). Easily walkable into town and to beach, with some good restaurants at this end. I hired a moped from the place just outside the hotel on the main road - no issues. Mr Crab restaurant also recommended, 15 min walk into town. Give it a try before it’s finished and the prices go up.

Lovely Hotel
Lovely brand new hotel in the heart of Chaweng. Light, clean, modern airy room. Large walk in shower. Very cheap in comparison per night with other hotels. Huge 108m long pool, only downside with this is, it was not clean, but as we were not pool users, didn’t matter to us. Who needs a pool anyway when there is a beautiful beach across the road??

New teak hotel
Rooms were comfortable, no umbrellas by pool so no shade. The reception made a point of suggestion if we book breakfast we would receive breakfast at discount but not able to full when we go to pay in afternoon. No drinking water was replenished, no tea or coffee was provided

Nice Place but Not Completely Finished
Hotel staff at front desk very helpful and friendly. Rooms are great and spacious with awesome modern showers. The property is not fully finished. They still have painting, a wing of rooms etc. to be finished. The elevators are not activated. There is no restaurant but there is one on the road in front of the hotel. Great 108 meter pool.

Super comfy, helpful staff and the best hotel ever
It was very nice to stay here. Lovely room. Very friendly and helpful staff..especially the thai guy who works night shift (i didnt know his name) we checked-in so late and super tired but when we went to check-in, he is very helpful and super friendly. I would recommend this hotel to another travellers. Thank you The Teak Samui Hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent new hotel with huge pool!
A lovely hotel with a fantastic pool, friendly staff and great location near the main strip but away from all the noise. My only reason for not giving it a perfect score was the fact that my shower was too cold even though there was hot water coming from the sink tap (although I did get a free buffet breakfast as a goodwill gesture) & the WIFI was a bit hit & miss on one of the days. I would definitely stay here again!

With the hotel across the road and use of the facilities there and direct beach access We found the hotel to be of good value. There was a bathroom problem but front reception staff moved us to a new room to solve the issue. Nice 108’ meter pool. Nice clean rooms. Comfortable.

Excellent stay
Hotel is newly built and is still being finished but for us that was not a problem the room was excellent and had all the mod cons. It is a really big hotel and very quite. The pool is amazing at 108 meters long so when other guests use it still feels empty. We had no noise problems as other reviews has stated but if u like s busy family atmosphere than u can use the sister hotel across the road which is also a great cut through for the beach. Not many staff but cleaning staff very friendly and do an amazing job We did not have breakfast so can not comment. Great location as just outside main strip and good restaurants about 2 mins away. We would stay at this hotel again if we got a good price.

Great place to stay
A great place to stay. New hotel, launched in Jan 2018. I was given a thriple room (double bed + single bed.) Room was huge, ideal for family. Room has all the basic amenities, like kettle, hair dryer, etc. just need to bring toothbrush, toothpaste & purchase own slipper (to be worn in the room). Longest swimming pool, 108 metre and we are allow to go across to Blue Lagoon hotel to swim and chill out too. Beach is couple of mins walk, just behind Blue Lagoon hotel. Staffs at reception are extremely helpful, polite and warm !!! Location is pretty good. Central Festival Mall is about 15 min walk away. Lots of shops, cafes & restaurants along the way. Overall, an ideal place to stay for your holidays.
