"Easy check in and car park okay if spaces a little tight.Room okay if a little tired and no charging points for mobiles etc. Breakfast good and gym and swimming pool area okay changing rooms cramped and have to walk through the gym to the pool? Bar drinks as with most hotels too expensive and they wonder why people go out to eat and drink "

"The room overlooking the lake was beautiful and the spa was amazing! Just make sure you book the thermal journey with the hotel asap as it gets booked up very quickly and we nearly missed out. The thermal spa journey was by far the best experince. "

"The first thing you will notice is it looks a bit dated when you walk in, but don't let that put you off because the 2nd thing you will notice is how lovely and warm the place is, kudos to the owners as we know how much the heating costs nowadays. My room was lovely, cannot complain, probably could of done with a bit of decorating but still it was nice, sleep wise it was ok, the mattress sunk a bit in the middle but not enough to stop me sleeping well. Breakfast was lovely, I had a cooled breakfast on my first morning and just cereal on my second as I was climbing helvellyn. Would I stay here again? 100% yes!! "
