We found our stay good value for the money we paid. Our room was spacious, cleaned daily, the bed was big and comfortable and the shower reasonably powerful although not always hot but we don’t require that as we prefer cool showers. The breakfast buffet wasn’t the biggest but it was more than sufficient with fresh fruit, freshly cooked eggs any style you like as well as the usual European and Thai preferences. We’d stay again so probably cant give a better review than that.

Room was spacious with a nice balcony and cleaned well every day. Plenty of bottled water supplied and bed was perfect. Staff were always friendly, polite and accommodating. Easy walking to beach, restaurants and bars. Sure, there are some small cosmetic maintenance issues but that’s expected under pandemic circumstances.

This is not what I would call a 4* hotel, it may have been previously but it is very tired and has seen better days. The bedding and towels were clean but at times were threadbare. There were no facilities available. The few staff that were available were friendly and very helpful. If you're looking for spacious cheap and cheerful accommodation this is it.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The property was extremely disappointing. This is NOT a resort. It is a hotel. There were no amenities. Just a pool. The daily breakfast was day old rice, noodles with eggs made to order. Sliced bread and jam. Coffee and room temp juice. The water pressure was weak. WIFI worked intermittently, not working more than it did especially in the rooms. There was NO room service. The front desk did not answer the phone after 9 pm. The slats in my bed started to fall and the center of the bed sank. It was never fixed while I was there. The rooms were big and we did have a kitchen with fridge I am sure this place was nice 20 year ago... but not now. If I could, I would ask for a refund.... Do not stay here....

I stay in this property in February 2020. I have booked a "Deluxe room with garden view" and I was assigned a ground floor room with no view/privacy (staff members would park their bike just infront to our glass door). Also some furniture in the room was damaged. I complained to the manager and her reaction was apalling, she said that the room was the "right one" and she was aware about the wrong description but it was not her fault (I would have expected the manager to apologize and offer immidiately another room). I informed the manager that I would have had to take this to expedia and she replied "call them". Obviously i did call them and she assigned a different room. I would reccomend to avoid this hotel, there are some good rooms (this is why some people give a positive review) however the hotel is not nice at all, needs extensive maintainance, the pool area is not inviting at all and the restaurant provides very poor food and service, cleaning of rooms is also inadequate. It feels as a 3 star hotel maximum. Never again!

However, in less than 1 hour, She have moved your room to a better room with out additional fees, is that can see elementary of helping you, we hurried to do seriously. Therefore, we are very sorry that after what she did and try to help and solve the issues you had experienced and you did not appreciated anything at all. Private pool with dated rooms
We had the 3 bedroom unit which comes with private pool. this was a great bonus and made our stay. The unit is very dated, kitchen not in a great condition. Rooms are very noisy and light as curtains do not block light out. The beds are very hard and pillows very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are good. The breakfast is nice but no atmosphere at this hotel. About a 15 minute walk to the beach and lots of massage places and restaurants about 5 minutes away which is handy.

Avoid Phunawa resort Phuket - poor value for money
We paid £700 for 4 nights and we were very disappointed with our stay at Phunawa resort. At the time of booking we knew the price we are paying is expensive but thought were paying for quality hence the price. Unfortunately this was not the case. This hotel is basic at best and does not warrant being a 4 star hotel, in our view. Hotels.com lists Phunawa Resort hotel as 4 star but that's very questionable. I decided to check the hotel online and most websites list it as 3 star, which we believe is a lot more accurate. The Wi-Fi is near non-existent and was very disappointing. We complained about the wifi every day, and to their credit they tried fixing it but it was a bigger issue. We have up in the end and purchased data on our phones to get internet. Breakfast is very simplistic and the air con is very loud in the room and it is a struggle getting sleep. The bathroom seemed to have some sort of mould on the tap and there was random holes in the walls where they've changed wall switches. We complained at the hotel about some of this but nothing was done about it. We complained to hotels.com and they told the hotel but the manager refused to do anything about it. Definitely not a good experience and wouldn't recommend it at all. The location is not great and you will need a shuttle service to get to the beach and a taxi to get to the city centre. Taxis will charge you min 300bhatt to take you to the local areas. You are however 15-20 minute walk from Karon beach.

Good design but needs refurbishment. Lay out is cool but everything seems very old and not looked after. Toilet situation is a joke! Not able to flush toilet paper in the toilet!

Apartment style great. They definitely need to sort breakfast always cold except made to order omelettes not a lot of variety. Easy walk to town. Bits of rubbish left around grounds not picked up for days but rooms cleaned. Would not take much to bring standard up.

Terrible stay at Phunawa Resort
The service from the resort staff was poor. We were only assisted after asking a few times for the same thing. Breakfast was average and the same food repeated everyday. Some of the food was also stale and not kept warm. The beds were absolutely hard and could feel the springs when sleeping on the bed. The rooms were not kept clean on a daily bases. We knew that the rooms weren't swept as the beach sand from our shoes were still on the floor till the day we left. As a family we were very unhappy with the stay at the resort.

The property was good. Close to the beach and shops. However the bed was very uncomfortable and hard and the property didn't have a business center to use a computer or printer. The restaurant staff was very nice but the choices of food were limited. The pool was great. The air conditioning in the room never got cool enough.

Pluses: - friendly staff - room upgrade to 2 bedroom unit - shuttle to Karon beach - free breakfast, reasonable quality - location is near some convenient shops and small restaurants. Minuses: - bed was very hard, enough to bruise my hips. The bed in the other room was softer, should have kicked the kids out of there. - it took 2 days to get a microwave for the room. - location is about 20 minutes walk to Karon shops. - breakfast's not as flash as some of the bigger resorts, selection of Thai dishes plus croissants, omelettes, etc. Not the resort's fault but it is located in Karon and the best shopping and entertainment is in Patong area. Tuk tuk prices are pretty fixed at 350 baht each way so it adds a bit of cost to your day.

Despite the beds being very hard and a leaking roof as we were there for the wet season we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all super nice especially the restaurant ladies and loved teaching our 6yo words in Thai and the happy hour was great.. I suggest the frozen daiquiri 😊 if I wasn't so picky with food we would go back to Thailand and would stay there again!

the Facilities are dated and in disrepair our stove only had one burner that worked. Our air conditioner leaked and after they fixed the unit we had to clean up the water left behind. The beds were hard as rocks with no support. The manager and office staff were unable or in willing to help. The best part of the hotel was the restaurant staff which were amazing. The facilities are in desperate need of upgrades but the location was good nice and quiet and not to far from many things to do or see. Change the manager and upgrade the rooms and pool this would be a 5star resort as is I rate as a 2 maybe a 3 because of the restaurant staff

We had stay in 3 room flat. but stove not working. we had managed by using induction. Wifi initially not working, after maintenance people settled. But one of my mobile not settle. We are happy at least they had settled the issue. Cleaning service is good. Other are ok.

Enjoyed our stay
It's not the flashest hotel but the workers were really helpful and nice. We went there with a family of 18 for my mother's 60th and we enjoyed our stay there. Kids are pretty cruisy as long as there is a pool kids are happy. The only thing is that the cleaning was done a bit late so we had to wait for a while for towels and most of expenses were on tuktuks or taxi to patong from karon as it is about 10-15k away from hotel. But if you prefer a not so busy area then Karon is a good area to station. Overall we loved our stay

Overall resort is decent. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Swimming pool is also cool. Service was also good. Resort location is a bit away from Karon Beach. Restaurant menu is limited however quality is good. Hotel lobby is small.

Later check-in staff not at all welcoming. Like it was a inconvenience even though I had communicated my arrival time and received a acknowledgement from the resort. No functioning sliding door lock/latch on room when shown the room. this was of no concern to the front desk. Morning breakfast staff were the complete opposite!! Phai and Noon(+ others) spectacularly good at their job, Very professional and accommodating. The breakfasts and the pool(s) are the highlights for me for sure. Room cleaned every day but at odd times. Toilet/shower room door handle broken and door kept jamming closed (sticking), gave up asking to get is fixed after asking repeatedly and 6 days. A lot of things are run down and in desperate need of some routine maintenance but for the price I paid it was a very nice stay

Better than what you pay for
Considering how inexpensive the rate is for this room, it is way better than what you pay for! It’s only a mile away from Karon Beach and is close to a lot of restaurants. I would stay here again!

Great location, secluded enough to be quiet and private, but not too far from the beach, shops etc. Very good facilities, two bathrooms in the apartment, the pool right in front of it so you can watch kids playing from the room. The restaurant was good and tidy. Reception staff could do with a bit more foreign language skills.

What a wonderful place to stay! The staff was friendly and wonderful. The hotel is amazing. We loved having two rooms and two bathrooms to get ready in the morning. We had beautiful views and fully enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be back. This may have been our all time favorite place to stay!

Staff nice but accommodation and facilities poor.
Staff are lovely but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the poor standard of the accommodation. The pool especually is in really poor state and is clearly not maintained and definitely not hygienic We only stayed 3 of the 10 nights booked (currently waiting on a refund of 7 nights which the are saying may take 3weeks!) as after the first day using the pool 2 of the party had cut their feet on broken tiles and also had come down with illness. We had to move elsewhere which ended up costing us significantly more as we had limited choice at short notice. In addition we had to waste the best part of 2 days of our holiday finding somewhere else and arranging the move.
