The Jangle Hotel - Paris - Charles de Gaulle - Airport
10/10 Excellent
"We had very few problems during our stay but the reason I’m still leaving 5 stars is because the staff was amazing and incredibly accommodating! My French is a bit broken but the staff was very understanding and patient with me. The airport shuttle was great and the room was clean. The main hiccup we had was that the drain system in the shower had an awful odor. Someone was sent to clean the bathroom but the smell persisted. Thankfully, we were put in another room on the same floor near the elevator with no problems :) The next room still had a faint smell from the drain, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the previous room and was bearable. The walls are very thin however, and I was woken up by some rated-R sounding noises one morning.
The restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the onion soup, 4 cheese pizza, and lamb chops! The mini shop by reception also has plenty of snacks and candy.
The bus stop is also just a 5-10min walk away from the hotel and can take you to and from the airport or to other train stations. I’d recommend looking up local metro stations that aren’t affiliated with the airport so you can buy an all-day/weekly pass which works for the bus and the metro to get to Paris (standard passes will not work if you’re going towards Paris, you have to purchase more expensive ones).
Overall, I would stay here again in a heart beat! It’s more affordable than a hotel in the center of Paris and is only 1-1.5hrs away from the city via public transit."
"A very good experience, your website does not do justice to the hotel. Cleanliness was excellent in all areas, staff friendly and efficient. In all an ideal hotel for visiting the Disney park with a bus stop across the road from the hotel."
"This hotel was very nice and clean. The stuff was nice and helpful. Location was excellent. Stayed 2 nights with my adult children. It was a very good hotel for our needs."
"All amenities were unavailable during my stay. The lobby and main areas are beautiful. However the room was dark, needs a serious update and falling apart."
"It is a sort of boutique hotel with rooms in several separate buildings connected by court yards. People at the reception desk are very friendly with good smiles and helpful. Once you get used to it, it is only 5-10 min walk from the train, metro and bus station, Nation. A variety of cafes, restaurants in 10 min walking distance
Rooms are small, but well equipped including a good-size microwave, stove, fridge, pot, pan and utensils. THere is a room for improvement, such as hall way carpet and room floor carpet, but the hotel perhaps doing the step-by-step renovation."
