Our stay included many problems that were not expected from a Novotel:
First, we were travelling with a child and requested a room with a bed and a sofa-bed, when we got to the room at 1am we realized the sofa is small and doesn't open, when we asked the reception they informed us that this is the only room they had available (due to a technical error in the booking system) and we can switch tomorrow - luckily our child is small and could sleep on the sofa even when it's closed so we just asked for sheets and kept the room but if the 3rd guest was an adult we couldn't have slept in the room.
Secondly - cleaning: When we returned to the room the following day at around 3:30pm the room wasn't cleaned. We wanted to rest so we asked that they come after we leave and that from tomorrow they will clean our room early - they said no problem. That day our room wasn't cleaned when we returned, only fresh towels were left, and every single day after the room wasn't cleaned early as asked (we came back usually around 3-4pm) - we told the reception, they apologized, send someone to clean and make a note for the cleaning staff for the next day.
Lastly - A\C: Our room had a problem, thermostat was broken and to cool you had to set it on a high temp, we got that info after complaining about this 3 times in which they said the technician came and fixed it but all he did was to set it on a high temp. Only when we insisted they told us how to fix this after we slept in a hot room for 2 nights.
