First the good, property is very clean, modern, and the studio suite we had was very nice. However, there were a few things lacking for what should have been a 5 star accommodation. It was winter when we stayed and quite cold… we expected to be given at least slippers and bath robe in 5 star accommodation. Also, we stayed in a studio suite apartment with full kitchen but there was not a single kitchen towel in the apt, nor any paper-towel in the kitchen. Only 1 box of tissue for the entire apartment, the coffee machine didn’t work, and the trash bins were also very limited with only 2 in the apartment and NONE in the bathroom. Also only 2 coffee pods, which were different type, and not enough milk for two people having tea/coffee. Breakfast was ok, but as everywhere it seems in South Africa, service is slow and in some places does not exist.

It’s very cosmopolitan and modern but my room had roaches, as time progressed it got more obvious. At the bar restaurant, I ordered a veggie burger and they passed off a potato pancake between two buns as such, when I alerted them to that, I was still charged, at the coffee bar the attendant tried to keep my cash after I decided to pay with a card, and another insisted I pay for her to get cake. I was scammed into a bogus tour and had to fight and get Expedia involved to get a refund. At my arrival home I discovered 200 dollars was pilfered from my suitcase. It had to be at the hotel. Yet there were examples of good customer service in general and the hotel is commodious. Of course I wouldn’t return.

Outstanding staff. One of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Decided to stay a week longer and they upgrade at my room for me and gave me a beautiful view. Can’t see anything bad about this place at all. Absolutely wonderful experience. Staff has all been very friendly, helpful, and outgoing.

Sandton hotel is in the Sandton suburb of Johannesburg. The hotel is pretty and feels very safe. They have shopping and business options in and connected to the hotel. If you need anything it is probably closer than you think. Also ask about the different types of rooms for a better fit for your needs. I will stay there again when I return to Johannesburg. I loved the tub even though it was a challenge to get in because I am short..The only con was when I showed the water leaked between the tiles and on to the floor.

The staff were accommodating and very pleasant. Thomas, Kabelo, Lebo (I hope i got that correct), and the young woman who works at the reception desk for the cafe all provided exceptional service.

I liked the place , just the incident w/ Claude
I’m so disappointed at the way a gentleman called Claude(he was wearing a brown blazer ) at reception spoke to me . I’m still not fine with his tone while speaking to me. If I was a client and I was at fault , he should have express my fault.

Good morning, I'm Graciano, I was staying at the @Sandton hotel, room n.º 1927, I had a horrible stay, the room needs urgent repairs, such as: repair or change the lock in the room; repair the glass window in the room, change the light bulb in the shower, repair the refrigerator door and clean the iron, it's getting dirty on the clothes.

Great Place to Stay.
The picture does this hotel no justice. Wine Cellar, Cigar Lounge, 2 pools, 2 bars and meeting rooms to work from. The rooms were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a closet, iron and ironing board. The shower was separate from the toilet allowing two people to get dressed quickly. The hotel was close to Nelson Mandela Square but nothing else. I stayed one night less and wish they could have offered me a refund however they did not.

Hotel was great and had friendly staff. My only issue was that they placed a wet toilet paper role in the bathroom. I can only assume the toilet paper was dropped in the toilet water and instead of replacing it left a half wet toilet role in the bathroom.

Pleasant stay
Very comfortable stay.Big hotel .Easy check in ,friendly staff.They offer free pick up & drop off to Sandton gautrain station& Sandton mall both are which only 15 mts walk from the hotel. We did walk couple of times during the day time which they don’t recommend for tourists. Restaurant has good choice of food at reasonable price.There is a mall called Benmore shopping next to hotel which has pick & pay supermarket.

Good options on restaurants and entertainment. Rooms air conditioning was not working. Requested several times for them to come and fix but no help. Plumbing and showers were poorz they would not drain causing spillage onto the room floor. Power cuts.

They have all the amenities a traveller can ask for. Top class service and excellent rooms. Only drawback, their room service is not 24/7

Definitely The Place To Stay
My first trip to South Africa. I was initially Only going to stay 2 nights and try a different hotel for variety but I ended up staying the entire trip. Clean rooms, professional, friendly staff, A mall connected next door, nice pools and plenty of bars. Hard to beat that.
