"I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. A special thanks to the boss lady and the lovely front desk girl who greeted me every morning with such warmth and sunshine-like positivity. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and the breakfast was very good. Everything felt organized and comfortable. The only issue was that the room I received looked nothing like the one shown in the booking photos. The advertised images featured a luxury suite with a large window, mountain views, and a spacious layout. The actual room was considerably smaller, located on the ground floor, and had no view whatsoever. I understand that photos can sometimes differ, but the difference was significant enough to be disappointing. Despite that, the wonderful staff and overall quality of the property made for a good experience."

"Stunning Grand Hotel quality for a fraction of 5Star price. Just NOT to look for it on DiDi by name, only by address: Avatar Valley Grand Hotel is actually “ Zhangjiajie Country Garden Phoenix Hotel” We had luck with a friendly DiDi driver that helped us and called their local number to verify location. Breakfast buffet room looks like an Opera House. Swimming Pools are huge. Not crowded at all for the 1400 rooms available. Late August, maybe seeemed maybe 10% occupied. Amazingly helpful Staff with perfect English communication. Great onsite restaurant with traditional local and Western menu options."

"Lucky and Rebee were both very helpful through our stay, recommending places to go and helping us with the best routes round the scene if areas. The hotel came with a driver to shuttle to and from the nearby scenic area which was a great help and made eveything very easy, the view was great and the rooms very comfortable and quite."

"This was a magical place to spend a few days. The room was superb and perfect for our needs and the location was idyllic high in the mountains. What made this stand out though was the superb Concierge who organised and booked all of our visits to the many attractions of the area. Transport, timings and tickets were all taken care of. It was like having your own travel agency. She was brilliant. Breakfast was fine but the restaurant was excellent and really good value. For a first time visitor to China it was a wonderful location."

"We had the most wonderful experience, Andy (the manager) was in direct contact with us even before the trip and he arranged for our pick up even when we changed the departure point at the last minute. He made our honeymoon absolutely lovely and special at this hotel! The room was absolutely wonderful, large, with amazing views. The facilities are breathtaking, swimming pool was great. The best part was just walking through the hotel and feeling like being in a palace everyday. The area for the breakfast buffet was stunning and the staff were always beyond amazing ☺️ I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the area, great experience overall!"
