"Excellent breakfast choice good quality breakfast. Very relaxing stay. Staff excellent. We had an upgraded room really enjoyed our stay. We were with friends we had drink from the bar both afternoons and dined in the evening in hotel. It was our second visit to the hotel for the weekend and will return next year."

"To be fair, this is apparently one of the oldest pubs in the area so it's dated interior kept with the theme. The staff were friendly but you might have to wait for service at the bar or restaurant, or reception. The bar - ran out of draught cider (on an early Friday evening) The restaurant ran out of sirloin on an early yes you guessed it Friday evening. There was a definite whiff of ganja on the 1st floor accomodation hallway. The room was small, hot and the bed had an extremely soft mattress. The shower unit in the bathroom didn't have any complimentary shower gel but did have hand soap for the sink. Also the shower head only offered a Japanese needle shower setting of 5 or 6 jets maybe more either way the accupuncture from them was probably beneficial? Parking was ok but tight. Morning breakfast was served (no self service choice) and the bacon was extra salty. All in all, we'll book elsewhere in future. "

"The best part of my stay was the warm and friendly reception. The bedroom on the other hand was in a sorry state with peeling wallpaper, a window catch that was so loose that a proper seal of the window was not achievable. The bath plug was the wrong size so the water was running away before I'd actually got in. The mixer taps for the shower were badly tarnished and the hot/ cold directions were unreadable "

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Little George! Geoff was super kind and helpful, showed us to our room. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean, lovely bathroom with a big shower (the included toiletries smelled amazing too!). Well stocked minibar, teas and coffees etc. WiFi was very good too, easy to connect and fast, which is needed in this area as mobile data signal can be a bit iffy. Extra pillow, towels provided with no issue when we asked. Included breakfast was absolutely fab, the 'Bent's Breakfast' aka full English was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! The Staffordshire Oatcakes are also super tasty, quite a heavy breakfast though and I couldn't finish them! Parking was easy, nice off road parking on the other side of the beer garden. Would just say that it is right in the centre of Eccleshall so there is quite a lot of traffic but that didn't bother us. The bathroom door was near on impossible to properly close from the inside so had to get each other to close the latch from the outside, and no lock on the bathroom door. Also one of the lights by the bed didn't work, we did let them know but it wasn't fixed. Other than that, we had a great stay at The Little George and would recommend to anyone staying in the Eccleshall area!"

"I was shocked to find a dirty pair of pants left on on shelf of the bedside table. The room felt was fine to sleep a night but certainly over priced "

"We paid extra for a “superior room” the bed was rock hard, curtains in a large room were falling down and looked pinned up. No heating and again in a room so large with tall ceilings it didn’t heat up well and room and bathroom was so cold all stay. "
