Isla Blanca Trip

El hotel en general no superó nuestras expectativas al ser nuevo, al contrario. Fui por mi cumpleaños y les tuvimos que recordar al final del tercer día por el detalle de Feliz cumpleaños, que ponen en la bienvenida ya que nunca lo pusieron. Tampoco estaban disponibles todas las opciones de restaurantes cada día. La calidad y variedad del buffet Seaside no era la esperada, en comparación con el buffet del Majestic Elegance de al lado. Y la cereza del pastel una big cucaracha en el separador de madera del cuarto al baño. Regresé nuevamente a un Majestic por la buena experiencia en el Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres del pasado año pero NO fue ni parecido en el Majestic Mirage. Decepción total!!

Really enjoyed the vacation! The resort extraordinarily clean, safe, friendly, and worth the money. Food was excellent for a all inclusive and many of our meals were superb! Room service was prompt, staff were friendly, the grounds weee beautifully kept. I felt it was nicer than the price range that we paid which is a complete compliment. We both left wanting more time! One pool was nice and quiet and the other was more lively. This is not a through down resort but enough life that it was fun and relaxing. Amir and Eduardo at the hibachi were amazing and made the final night!!!!!! All other staff were super! Highly recommend this place! Two notes: the beach had seaweed in the water but the pools made up for it (not the resorts problem). Second, Make reservations for restaurants! This is a must as your restaurant of choice may fill up on busy nights!

I’ve stayed at the Riu in Cancun four times, and unfortunately, each visit seems to get worse. This most recent stay will definitely be my last. The food was extremely disappointing. The Sports Bar food was so salty that it was almost impossible to eat. I mentioned it multiple times, but no one seemed to care or make any effort to improve it. The buffet and other restaurants were also nowhere near the quality I would expect from a resort like this. The service was another major problem. Many staff members seemed willing to help only when they expected a good tip. Otherwise, some were rude and dismissive. What made it even worse was hearing staff members make negative comments about guests in Spanish, apparently assuming we couldn’t understand them. I do understand Spanish, and that was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The property itself also had several maintenance issues, including leaks around the resort and even near restaurant and buffet areas. For the amount of money guests pay to stay here, the overall condition, food quality, and level of service are unacceptable. I kept returning because I had good experiences here in the past, but the quality has continued to decline every time I visit. This stay was by far the worst. I will not be returning, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.
