"We were travelling with our 16 year old son and had booked a room for 3 people. We had a spacious room with double bed plus single bed, TV (with digital channels), fridge, wardrobe and ensuite. The room was spacious and characterful and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Everything was clean and we had the room cleaned daily, including clean sheets, towels and toiletries replenishing. "Eu e o meu marido adoramos essa pousada. Local muito bem cuidado , tudo muito limpo e cheiroso, quarto muito espaçoso e o café da manhã muito gostoso. Local tranquilo e com uma vista linda. A dona da pousada (Luciana) é muito atenciosa e simpática, fez de tudo para que a nossa estadia fosse perfeita. "We had a nice stay here. It was quite basic but the staff were pleasant, location was good, and breakfast was fine. The room did get quite hot so we had both the aircon and the fan on through the night, both of which were quite noisy. But we were perfectly happy here otherwise. "

"Very comfortable stay with some minor issues which were promptly resolved by the management. Cafeteria lady made fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast. Short walk from the bus terminal is a huge plus. You can easily walk to the historical city center as well where a number of restaurants are located. Customer service is excellent. I would book without hesitation again if I am in Paraty."

"Amazing place to stay when visiting Paraty. The apartments are extremely spacious and very well kept. Everything is clean and orderly. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The property is located on the outskirts of the main city but the historic city center is just a five mins car ride. Overall I highly recommend this hotel."

"Acomodação é bem nova, seu tamanho para casal com filhos não é legal. Uma cama de casal mais uma de solteiro deixa o quarto bem apertado fora que não tem ar condicionado o que torna o quarto absolutamente quente, Ventilador de teto não da conta do calor. Pra receber 5 estrelas faltou uma tela na janela ajudaria pois tem muito mais muito pernilongo, ar condicionado também seria questão de imediato."

"We had a lovely stay at Pousada Recanto. The staff are helpful and the breakfast was impressive, a full spread of eggs, fruit and pastries. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach and a 15 to 20 minute walk into the historic center. Rustic and friendly. "

"I had a Nice time during my stay. The hotel staff are friendly, food is awesome (just just include a kids menu at the burger house). My kid loved the game area and the pool. There are just fez improvements such as mattress (tooooo soft) and must put the dogs away from breakfast/lunch/dinner area. They bother too much for food."

Zero out of ten!

"DO NOT STAY HERE unless you 1) like being bitten by insects / sleeping in insect repellent, 2) have unlimited data on your mobile phone, 3) have a deep love of cats and/or 4) have a complete disregard of your own health and safety. I've written a more thorough review on Google but a special mention to Hotels.com/Expedia for quickly refunding me for this nightmare after providing photographic evidence. Not one member of staff speaks English or understands the concept of Google translate, they'll verbally reply to you in Portuguese (it's a tourist hotspot so not unfair to ask for some to speak basic English). There are cats everywhere even though the hotel has a no pet policy and WiFi doesn't work in any of the rooms. They put this on their own website (if you Google translate it) but have failed to inform all third-party websites that are selling their rooms."
