Breakfasts were excellent! The dining options Valerie and Eric shared were delicious. They suggested house tours I wouldn't have known about. Wonderful hosts. Great place to stay!

The inn was really comfortable and welcoming. Loved the comfortable public spaces. The innkeeper was really helping giving us ideas of places to see and places to eat. The breakfasts were delicious and what a wonderful diverse selection each day one better than the last! Loved our stay would recommend it

Gracious hospitality from Valerie and Eric along with nice home-cooked breakfasts. Comfortable shared areas in den adjacent to dining room and in a large living room, along with a nice selection of books and copy of New York Times. Themed rooms with comfortable beds and furnishings. And right across the road from great walking and Hudson views on the grounds of the Vanderbilt Mansion!

I had a spacious and comfortable room. Common areas comfortably furnished. Provision of newspapers an unexpected plus. Hosts were kind and accommodating to my needs. Good parking space. Breakfast was delicious but perhaps a little more choice would be good.

The owners of this inn are so lovely. They really care about the comfort of their guests. I highly recommend the Journey Inn.

Nice, clean and quiet location. Was able to safely walk to town. Comfortable beds and atmosphere. The only thing I would change is the nuisance of having to worry about the owner's dog getting out when we used the door. . . . .that should not be a concern of customers.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. For future guests, we just ask that you close the door and do not leave it open - as guests often do. Using the door in the normal fashion is not a problem.

We had a lovely stay here. Val and Eric were excellent, informative and helpful hosts. The location was perfect for visiting the Vanderbilt and FDR properties. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the carpeting in our bedroom (REALLY needed cleaning or replacing). But we would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended!
Everything about our stay was outstanding. The inn is beautiful with interesting furnishings and nik naks, and the breakfasts were amazing. . The owners and manager were more than staff, we left having made new friends. I highly recommend the Journey Inn, and am looking forward to our next visit.
