Loved the view from our room, easy access to the lake and restaurants, room was nice and clean and roomy, was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our stay, the front of the property could use a make over which would make it more inviting, but all in all, it was a nice place for the price!
When we arrived the hotel looked deserted so I called and found out they seem to have a few properties connected on the street. Mid October is off season so we were moved to the harbor hotel a block away. I was very grateful for this since the other one was a ghost town. Out stay at the harbor hotel was fabulous. Very large rooms, very clean, and all staff were great. This is also located across from the ferry so the location was perfect. We also enjoyed all of the restaurants on the street with Spanky’s being fabulous for their lobster roll.
Great location. 5 min walk to ferry to Nantucket and less than 15 mins walk to restaurants and shopping. Shower was the only thing I wasn’t a fan. The staff is amazing and very helpful.
We had the most amazing, end unit on the second floor facing the harbor. The use of the amenities at the sister property were fabulous. It was right beside the Black Cat which had delicious food and a quick walk to the Melody Tent for a concert. We will be back for sure!
Overall, the hotel was great. The room was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
The only downside was the check-in process. Since this location is managed by the main hotel, we had to go to the other property to check in, which was a bit inconvenient. Because of this setup, there were also some delays activating the key cards.
Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay!
Our stay was good, everything we needed and wanted to experience was In minute walking distance from our hotel.
The room was clean bedding was as well. Our bathroom cloths and towels were very nice! Loved our stay we will be coming back.
I had to check-in other location(sister hotel) but they are nice and kind. This inn is close to main street and also grocery, so very convenient to stay there.
But, the outside pool needs to be managed so that the ducks cannot enjoy swimming there!!
Best location in Hyannis, walk to restaurants and Hyline Cruise. Room was clean and big and overlooking the harbour. Spanky’s Clam Shack is a treat. Check in isn’t simple but we figured it out.
Up here for 3 days of fishing. Property was convenient by walking to restaurants and harbor area. Check in was a little different because the main office was down the street from actual motel. My room AC unit was not working properly and was warm inside. We kept trying to get it cool. The bathroom had ants and that was disgusting. We kept our luggage on top of racks in room once we learned of the bugs. We were supposed to stay for 3 days here, but left the property early. When I checked out I explained my displeasure with the employee. I don’t think I will stay here again. We stayed at another hotel and spent more money than expected because of this.
Great location. Front desk was friendly. Motel is run down, room had strong mildew smell, bathroom was not clean, pool has not been functional for months. No onsite staff apparently. Check-in is nearby at another property. Not sure what the $40 resort fee included-
We were expecting a nicer Inn to stay at. The facility was more like a motel than an Inn. The pool was dirty and chained. There were several bugs in the room The staff allowed us to upgrade to the "sister" Inn, the Hyannis Harbor Inn. the Hyannis Harbor Inn was very nice. It was clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The photos of the Ocean Street Inn looked like a cozy inn on the harbor. It wasn't like than.
So we're torn. We stayed here so we could get an early ferry to Nantucket and the location was great for that. But it looks like the hotel has been acquired by another one down the street so we had to walk down the street to check in. So not really convenient. And the room was fine but could use some sprucing up - the bathroom especially. Having said all that, we'd stay here again if we're going out to Nantucket.
Have to check in at property 500 ft up the road. Waited in line for almost an hour to check in . Staff was not very friendly or helpful. The check in property was very nice but the property we stayed at was old and very run down . There was no staff there, kids were weaving between cars in the parking lot with electric scooters . The floors of the so called balcony were just painted plywood our screen door was broken. It was over priced . I would not recommend anyone stay here.
This whole listing for the Ocean St Inn is extremely deceptive. You have to check in at the beautiful hotel down the street, and get shunned back over to the “inn” (motel) about 1/2 mile down the street. Granted the views and convenience to everything was great, but that’s about it. The room looked clean upon arrival, but on closer examination, there were families of bugs in the corner of every wall. Something was splattered all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The TV did not work and I called the desk 4 times to be hung up on 3, on the 4th, the front desk girl said maintenance would come fix it, but never did. There was also, literally, no heat in room at all. No heater…. None. Other than the completely false advertising for this property…. Things were good…. When we were not in the room. It’s a real shame honestly. Beautiful area, gold mine if you know what you’re doing. Do better.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Employees make this place not worth staying at
DONT BE FOOLED!
When booking, all these photos are NOT at this hotel, Had to check in, go to pool/hot tub all down the street. People down at the other hotel WERE RUDE! When I explanied that the photos on website sould match - she stated it did - i showed her it didnt and I was given a bigger attitude - asked at check in if hot tub was open she said yes - 2 hrs later - same hotel - different staff - met with attitude because I wanted to use it.
Room itself and location NOT BAD AT ALL! Its the employees!!
Need to have seminars on how to provide better Customer service.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
No hot water.
This is just an OK hotel in a good location if you want to be in downtown Hyannis, it’s a short drive to the melody tent and the conference center. Easily walkable. The room is old. However, the bed was very comfortable. The biggest problem was that we did not have hot water on the last day and I had to be at a conference at 8 AM so had to take cold shower. My husband complained went to the front desk which is down the street, and we had called too. We weren’t the only ones without hot water. It was not fixed until late morning and we checked out. The front desk told us that we would be getting a rebate or credit of some sort. That didn’t happen, I called left my number because the manager was busy. We of course, never were called back or credited anything. Thus I would not stay at this hotel ever again. I don’t need much in a hotel, just a comfortable bed, which I got in hot water which I didn’t get. I don’t think it is out of the realm of reasonability to expect some sort of credit because of that inconvenience.
Our room was very clean and relaxing. It's an older property that has been maintained. Not having an office on property was a little concerning, but the other guests were fine. The last day we discovered sugar ants on anything we had left on the carpet. That's common in sandy areas and we didn't remember that in time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
