"So on arrival we were forced to stay next door to this hotel as its owned by the same owner. On approach to the room: - pile of hair with a cotton bud in it The room HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED: - Human hair all over floor - dirt & dust in glasses (manager started using a dirty tissue to wipe it with - as im sure that would help) - stains all over sheets & pillows. (Apparently its how they dry them on rusty apparatus) - human hair on sheets - bathroom was dirty - soap dispenser empty - shower gel...

"Service was 5 star, absolutely. They picked me up at the airport and drove me back to the airport - that was a very nice service. The reason I lowered the rating was the location - definitely a slightly sketchy area. Maybe all of Male is like this but I didn't feel overly comfortable about going outside. Hotel was very small, quaint but small. Room was clean but again very small and my hot water didn't work so after a 30 hour travel - I couldn't take a shower. It was just a stop over to get to a resort in the Maldives and for that it was a fine place to stay overall. Again, the service - top notch."
