Overlooking the beach this was a great place to enjoy swimming in safe waters or dining at the local restaurants offering excellent food. Also it’s a handy place to visit Male using the local bus, ferry or taxi.

We stayed at the Ocean Grand for one night on arrival to Male, the hotel staff were great, Sanjay the hotel manager was very helpful. The hotel is small but well kept and it is just across the road from the beach. The hotel is very convenient as it is located on the same island as the airport, so transfers are very quick. The room was a little on the small side, but was sufficient for one night.

I stayed here for 2 nights and needed an early check-in and late check-out. The hotel was able to accomodate quite easily with minimal cost. The room was all good and generally quite although as a suggestion I would remommend getting some rubber buffers on the door to prevent door banging as that was very disturbing or some soundproofing. The deluxe two bedroom apartment was very clean and well-equipped. Very well-located for the airport, and steps away from the beach and shops / restaurants. Staff were very helpful (proactively contacted our onward resort before we even arrived, and arranged return transfer to airport accordingly). Overall perfect for our one-night stay ahead of moving onto an island resort the next day.

The review that persuaded me to book this hotel was the one which said something like 'I'm not a beach person but I loved this hotel'. Beautiful, peaceful, discreet, the attention to detail. L'occitane bathroom products, very comfortable bed, a shower and bathroom open to the warm air, delicious food in the restaurant (evening buffet concentrated on quality rather than quantity but there were still many choices). A most restful 3 days, one of the best hotels in 35 years of travelling.

We stayed for 8 nights and had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and it was a 5 second walk from the beach. The room was perfect and the outdoor shower amazing! Snorkelling with sharks was my favourite highlight.

Good location, airport shuttle service to and from and liaised with resort I was going to. On a busy road and there was a politicians speech next door but that finished at 11pm. My only issue was the rooster calling from 2am!

From the moment you arrive at the airport everything is 5 stars. Excellent location, beautiful clear white beaches. Cristal clear water. Amazing snorkeling in the reef and lots of amazing fish that can be seen akk the time. The butlers go the extra mile and are truly fantastic. Everything was amazing and even a couple of things that weren’t perfect upon our arrival were so attentively fixed with such respect and care that I don’t even remember what these were. This is without doubt the ideal tropical retreat, no motorised vehicles just 46 beachside bungalows spread out around the perimeter of the island, which means that you can walk completely around the island on the beach in 15 minutes! This is the place to come if you want nothing more than water activities, sunbathing,eating,drinking and catching up on your favourite novels.
