I love Cha Am
We enjoyed a very nice 2 night stay at the Golden Beach which is very close to the sea and all amenities . Also close to P'Tia bar which is great for a nightcap after dinner. .

Good and convenient location, 1 minute walk from the beach, friendly staff, efficient check-in and out. Spacious rooms, but hotel has seen better times. Be prepared to confront lots of European tourists in the pool and breakfast area. Many of them run to the swimming pool first thing in the morning to occupy their sunbed for the rest of the day by putting their towel on it (and then go back to bed or breakfast). Pool staff do nothing about this, so I guess the hotel needs to adjust its pool policy. Overall fairly good value for money.

The room is so old with carpet on floor. Air conditioning are very old and not cold. There are many guests and the lift so crowded and many guests at breakfast area. No service like kid club etc... And car park full

Fantastic ocean views
This hotel is fair value for money.The decor is a little dated, the rooms can be a bit noisey as can the old air con units, but the excellent ocean views are worth it.Breakfast has a good selection and the pool is quite good.The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants nearby and just across the road from a perfect beach.

Relaxing, nice big room and good pool.
The hotel is old but fully renovated. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable. There is a nice pool. Being low season, some restaurants were closed. Very little to do locally.

The check in must be in 2 PM but we can get in the room at 2:50 PM and the air condition was making noise but the others was good.

Good hotel and close to the beach
It was very good time to spend at this hotel, their facilities were good enough for having a conference. After joining the official meeting, you can relax at the beach just a few minutes walk from the hotel. There are Halal food restaurants, but quite far from the hotel namely Aminah Restaurant, Mariam Restaurant, as well as the fresh seafood restaurants near the beach.

Overall relaxing with good room, service and local area. However, breakfast advertised as buffet. Both non-existent and poor food quality. Inconsistent hot water or none in shower. No poolside service for towels, bar order's or umbrellas for sunbeds..

Cha-am 6 night stay
Pleasant, quiet, comfortable, friendly staff. No (Baht) Bus service, so need to use taxi or motorbike service to get about. Restaurant is expensive but easy to eat in restaurants outside. Recommend purchasing room including breakfast.

WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FOR A 3.5 STAR HOTEL .
OK BUT COULD DO WITH BATHROOM MAKEOVER AND REPLACE MATTRESS AS SPRINGS VERY NOISY ROLLING OUT OF BED, ON BEACH WITH 7 ELEVEN NEARBY. SEVERAL RESTAURANTS ON THE BEACHFRONT. STAFF FRIENDLY AND FOOD OK.MODERN TV. .

Dated but close to the amenities...
Large family suit...nothing like the brochure photos....old dated and tired interior....three piece suit hard solid traditional hand carved wood very uncomfortable....balcony wall not high enough, safety issue...like wise the walk ways to the rooms you can look over the side down in to the heart of the hotel and again the walls are low so potential danger for children and those who might be a bit worse for ware after a skin full....no safety railing....

Golden Beach A Good Value
Golden Beach Cha Am is reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast is a bit better than most Thai hotel buffet breakfasts as they have a noodle and an omelet chef to customize, and most of the food was reasonably warm. A good mix of western, Thai, salad, fruit and bread offerings. Hotel is very close to the beach, near the quieter northern end, and that is a huge asset. Rooms are large and clean, but sparsely furnished. In-room coffee/tea is nice. Swimming pool is fantastic! Wi-fi is weak and sometimes unreachable. The shower floor can get slippery and they'd do well to add some friction strips to keep slipping around down. Pleasant, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Booked for 5 nights. Hotel was full because of Thai new year festival. First night we were 'upgraded' to a junior suite because the deluxe room booked was unavailable. The suite had a very musty smell as though it hadn't been occupied for some time and the room was not of a high standard. However the deluxe room was far superior, very comfortable. Included breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food available at the buffet and eggs ommeletes etc cooked to order . Because the hotel was full the first three days breakfast was in the ballroom and there were hundreds of guests there, but service was wonderful. The last two days breakfast was served in the terrace restauraunt because of fewer guests after Thai new year festival finished. Standard remained the same

Exceptional service.
I got there at 7am. Check in is 12 noon. They told me I could use the facilities until check in. ( Well done) I changed into my bathing suit and hung out at the pool. Wifi was great. Breakfast was great. I only had 2 complaints. One was the wifi worked everywhere except the room. I called front desk and they sent someone right away. It sort of felt like they were just going through the motions so I kinda resigned myself to no wifi in the room. Low and behold the next day it was fixed. Someone came my room to check. Big points for this service. Thank you Anthony. My other complaint was the tv. Channels weren't clear and many just cut out. I didn't bother calling front desk as I wasn't really there to watch tv any. Maybe I should have????

We had a relaxing time, following our journey from the UK. The Hotel and the beach were fine, but Cha Am is short of a cheap transport system. From the North Beach the only way out is by private taxi,which is expensive.

Good Value Hotel Let Down By Local Environment
Hotel spacious, quiet with good pool. Buffet breakfast nice but a bit repetitive for long stay. Main problem was lack of public transport other than expensive taxis eg B500 to go one way to Hua Hin. No songtaews. What really spoilt our stay were the filthy streets full of stinking trash cans, the smelly drains and the rubbish lying on the roadsides. No longer a good place for a holiday.

Okay, I have great things to say about the hotel, but the staff were miserable. The hotel is beautiful and has 20 floors, and the rooms are very nice!!! The pool was great, and the breakfast buffet was amazing! The staff though really were just lousy and unfriendly. Not welcoming at all.

I have stayed in this hotel before and although they have made improvements to the common parts, like the check-in area, dining area and pool/garden they still need to go a lot further. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which is huge, however, it's dated, the bed was so uncomfortable we moved the mattress on the floor. There were no chairs to sit out on any of the three balconies and no crockery or cutlery to the kitchenette. Most importantly Cha Am isn't what it used to be, there is a constant smell of diesel apparent when sitting on the beach or going in the water

Nice hotel close to the beach
The hotel is close to the Cha Am beach, a nice place for relax. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and always there to help. The location far from downtown (Hua Hin), you need to book a taxi/van for touring. However it is great place for beach lover.

Worth the price
We had a suite with 2 bedroom and living area (room only, no BF incl). It was spacious and clean although the decoration was a little aged - my parents wouldn't mind that anyway. Kettle and fridge were there. Could be nice if we can have a microwave also. Parking space was okay. Walking distance to the beach and small stores/restaurant near by. Few improvement points. There was no air circulation system in the bathroom and the sliding door to the corridor couldn't be locked - might be dangerous if you have children.

Great Stay, Good Value, Nice Room.
Everything went very smoothly and there were no problems at all. The deluxe room that we stayed in was really nice and the view from the 20th floor was good too. However some parts of the hotel were starting to really show it's age and some areas are starting to look a bit grubby. However, this is Thailand and it is in Cha Am, I'm guessing that if you choose to go to Cha Am then like me you won't really be expecting world class facilities. Overall it was good, the value was great and it was very comfortable.
