"We had to move rooms twice because the rooms were dirty. The first room the carpets/floor hadn't been cleaned, there was crumbs of food all over the floor and on the chair within the room. We informed the front desk, who were actually very good, and were told it would be cleaned by the time we were back from a walk. It hadn't been cleaned some 5 hours later so they move us. "This hotel when it was new, was probably very nice. It's a bit older now, so there is some wear and tear. But that's not important if you only need a place to drop off your bags, and a bed to sleep on. For the price, the cliche saying is "you get what you paid for". So my opinion is that what you are paying for is indeed a good value.
