This is the quintessential English vicarage and the perfect B&B. If you want to stay in a warm, welcoming and beautiful location, then look no further. The room was immaculate and breakfast perfect. Tricia and Andrew are excellent hosts and we could have happily spent hours chatting. They offered good advice on where to eat and where to go. If we return to the Peak District we won’t give a second thought to booking again.

Home cooked hot breakfast was delicious. Great service absolutely faultless & purely perfect in every way. Staff could not go out of their way anymore to make my stay any more perfect, was an absolute pleasurable stay & I will definitely consider staying here again in the near future. We wanted to visit the local National Trust properties, which were all very worth visiting. The scenery was lovely (Peak District), and the pub we ate at was also very good - a recommendation of the hotel staff. We only stayed for three nights this time, but will be coming back for another visit sooner rather than later, and would hope to stay again at Newton House. The bar and lounges were nicely furnished and decorated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
