"Hotel is lovely and staff excellent but at least with room I stayed in it was very tired and needed updating. Paint was flaking off the walls, there was what looked like someone's foundation stains on the lamp shade and what looked like water marks/ stains on the walls. To note it can be quite noisy due to town centre location. I stayed mid week and was quite loud. "

"The first room we were given was dirty and had mould but we were quickly moved to another room which was clean. The rooms were not soundproof as advertised and didn't look the same as they were advertised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For a short stay it's not too bad, however not sure I'd recomend for a long stay. Make sure to bring shampoo etc and a hairdryer as our room didn't have them although I'm sure this could potentially have been rectified if we had asked. "

"We had a lovely stay at The Bristol Hotel, we had a great welcome, staff were lovely and always willing to help. Location of the Hotel is perfect, in the centre of the City and close to all amenities. If we come again to Bristol, we will certainly stay there. "The staff at the front desk were fantastic even though they were so busy! The first room we were put it had an issue with the sealant on the shower glass - water flooded the bathroom. The staff moved us straightaway. However, both rooms were really run down. There were chips in the bathroom counter. There were marks on the walls. There was rust on the lamps. The mugs had stains. The towels were really crusty and had holes in them. Not really what I expect from a Novotel. I doubt I’d get holey towels in a Premier Inn! Would not stay again. "
