"Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as I was unwell. We left immediately after my wife had breakfast on our first morning. She only had cereal and toast as we were keen to get away. I was rather sad to have to leave early as I remember the hotel when it was a boys’ primary school having lived the first 18 years of my life as a resident of Rye."

"The swimming pool was a welcome addition as the sea was too cold and choppy to swim in. The towel rail was heated, there was a heater and TV and kettle in the room. A shower and toilet en suite. All for £50 a night. Bargain "

"A comfortable hotel well situated on the Grand Parade seafront close to the pier and the town centre. Very stylish building in very good condition with character and style. All staff were very professional and helpful with a good knowledge of the local area. "

"This hotel is great for value alone. I paid £100 for 4 nights. Great value ! So let's get down to brass tacks. From the outside it doesn't look great and the interior could be better BUT the room itself was really really nice and clean. Can't complain. TV, kettle, soaps. All the basics. Ahmed was very friendly and hospitable. Cleaning staff friendly and talkative. A few things to improve. Improve email communication prior to checking in. Showers could have more power and sometimes struggled to get good heat. I was disappointed not to get the room I requested. Nevertheless, I would thouroughly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and looking to get away. I would definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely stay."
