Terrible experience
This was the worst experience of my journey to Uttarakhand! The rooms were alright, good enough if you are looking to just crash at night and are out exploring for the rest of the day. The restaurant was a big disappointment in terms of hygiene of their plates and space. The plates were smelly and even after complaining several times, they weren't able to give us clean plates. The Wifi in our room was almost non-existent. I had to use my phone 3G data. But the worst part was that they forgot to return my Aadhaar card. It has now been 15 days and even after repeated reminders, I have yet not received my official ID back from them. This is unsafe, unprofessional and not what one would expect from any hotel that was professionally run. Also the name Marriott is misleading. It has no collaboration with the International Marriott chain. It is just a way of fooling the customers. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It's too far from the city, and the facilities are not worth that long ride in rickety autos through congested roads. The only saving grace here was one of the front desk staff Mr. Prahlad who was helpful in giving us local recommendations that made our trip to Haridwar more bearable.
