"The room was very spacious and clean. We paid a little extra to get the balcony, spa and breakfast. The staff was amazing from checkin to checkout. Breakfast was bountiful and excellent. The spa had two hot tubs and a sauna plus a relaxing area with heated floors. We went two times during our stay since it was included. The view of Reykjavik was beautiful and since we visited in late April there was light in the sky very early and late at night. We will definitely be back."

"We did not like the first room facing the main road and busy when we asked about a quiet room. It was not a 4 star room , basic old fashioned. Then we upgraded to a delux room and we had a balcony and modern shower facilities and felt we were in a different Hotel, very nice and handy to walk on to the harbour to catch your boat trips to watch the whales if you were lucky. The Northern light trips were cancelled and you get loads of information from the lovely staff to the tour operators a minute walk from the Hotel. We could not use the Hop on , Hop off bus as it was out of the season. You could walk down the central to the shops and mini markets again very handy location from this Hotel. They have a lovely football table and sitting area. If you get the standard room beware it is more like a 2/3 star Hotel. Handy good value fish restaurant Hofnin the Harbour Restaurant near Hotel is Excellent and cheaper from the others, make sure you book early."

"Breakfast was very good with various choices. The location is great, a few minutes walk to the main shopping street, the famous church around 15 minutes walk and the same for the main bus station where you get various buses. We asked for a quiet room and it was delivered."

"The room was the perfect size for one person, and had a great view. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, including up at the bar. The bar had a great menu too. The spa was well worth paying for. The bed could be more comfortable though, and I wish there was more of a pantry / snack shop on premises. Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again. It’s very conveniently located by bus stop 5 Harpa and 6 Culture House."
