"Although the reception, library room and breakfast area were fine this hotel is in need of renovation. We stayed two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially Julia on the front desk. Our beds were large and comfortable but the room was dated with taps not working and the toilet hard to flush. Breakfast was adequate. "The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of tea/coffee available. The host was very helpful and pleasant. The Guest House was situated in a quiet location just off the town centre and about a 20-25 minute walk from the Railway Station. If I was visiting the area again I wouldn't have any hesitation in staying at the Archway Guest House."
