"The property was very clean, lots of choices for food and the casino. There was only 1 person checking in which seemed crazy for the size hotel. Some of the male staff who were monitoring the elevators didn’t earn any stars for their personality or efforts. The room was large and roomy with an awesome bathroom and huge window to look out. Wished there was a microwave in the room. There was a safe and mini fridge. No door hangers so we couldn’t leave a do not disturb hanger on the door. The mattress was puffy like it was goose down and one side leaned so it felt like I was rolling out of bed all night and going uphill to get to the middle. Ample parking and close to all the attractions."
"The location is fantastic - across the street from the water. The town is pretty with lots of interesting dining options within walking distance. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is awesome. The spa and fitness center are excellent also.
The only slight inconvenience is the free parking is mostly in a public lot across the street from the hotel. But there is plenty of it."
Holiday Inn Express Grand Island - Niagara Falls by IHG
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is in a nice, quiet location with short drives to get to the major attractions. However, the hotel could use some updates. It was hard to catch someone at the front desk outside of morning hours. There was an ice machine not working, a coffee machine not working, pancake machine at breakfast not working. Nothing too major but annoying when you’re counting on using those things. The employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful."
"Great staff, good location, very clean. Some noise issues: both from machines at night and folks in the hallway. But other than that, had a great time, would definitely recommend."
"Was supposed to be a getaway for the kids . Booked a king suite with jacuzzi in the room . 1st issue no elevator in site , the whole hall where our room was located was under ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION. Meaning while we’re trying to relax we hear drills saws workers etc. than the room was clean but dusty and the under under bed topper had a stain of dried blood . Up until this point it was still OK but after about an hour of sitting and listening to construction we smelled sewer.. and it was strong. When speaking to the night desk agent he was very accommodating like it really didn’t matter whether or not we were smelling sewer because ““ it was nothing he can do about it after speaking to my husband and several hours later we were offered either 50$ or to move to a new room . By that time we were completely spent and just took the 50$ off. When checking out the new desk agent said I had an unpaid balance of 5$ from where? He didn’t know and neither did it ."
