"A fairly basic but perfectly good hotel. Very well positioned in the town. Lovely views. My twin room was spacious and airy. I could have done with being able to open the window more, as I felt rather warm! It was lovely to be able to see the sea from my room and hear the waves. Really good breakfast included, cooked to order. Perfect poached eggs! Great place for a relaxed stay. Just don't expect anything too polished or modern!"

"Very friendly and helpful staff , breakfast very good for a continental style and hot choices available at extra cost. Parking very good and free to use, easy check in and out. One small note, the rooms are on the upper levels so if you have mobility issues best to contact the hotel first . Brilliant location right in the heart of Truro. Will be staying again."

The St Ives Bay Hotel

"The staff were so incredibly helpful and kind and we ended up being able to park in the hotel parking lot, which was a nice surprise. The room definitely needed to be updated and didn’t match the photos (we had a huge shag carpet in our room over the original rug which was clearly used to cover a big stain but honestly really kind of gross). I wouldn’t say our room was all that clean but the bedding was spotless and the bed itself was comfortable. Location was fantastic, right across from the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was standard (coffee was bad). Again, can’t state enough how friendly and helpful the staff were."
