This pub is very convenient for folk coming off the Stena Ferry at Fishguard. It is very comfortable and provides bed and an excellent breakfast at a great price.
Arrived to a nice welcome, our room was clean, tidy and comfortable and quiet.
The staff in the hotel and pub were lovely and clare got us early breakfast so we could get on the road early to collect our dog.
The only slight downside was the restaurant isnt open Monday to Wednesday in the winter those were the days we were there. Apart from that it was fabulous. Thank you very much.
Lovely to stay , excellent food and lovely friendly staff.

Main drawback was all the stairs to get to our room. Very comfortable. Good breakfast.

The dinner and breakfast were good The bar was not quite what we thought it would be but there was another bar in the same building that was. The room was nice but difficult to access because of the narrow stairs. In all it was satisfactory and met our expectations.

A stay at the rose and crown
Room clean but tired looking, Bedding clean but firm, we were staying in number 3 bedroom and the fan on outside wall was noisy when trying to sleep, but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Staff :)
The staff where fantastic - I was stressed as we needed to check-in after they closed, but they greeted us wonderfully and even kept the bar open for a while, so we could relax and have a drink - great service.
Good for an overnight stay thats close to the ferr
We arrived on a late ferry and checked in at 11.30pm (we had let them know beforehand we would be arriving at this time) and the staff were really helpful. Beds were comfortable. We were in the large family attic room which had sloping ceilings so needed to be careful not to bump your head and bathroom ceiling is sloped so have to sit in bath to use the shower. Breakfast was really good. A good place for an overnight stay thats very close to the ferry port.
The stay was okay. The small double room is actually a single with sofa, the was a bad smell from the bathroom not big deal just had to keep the door closed. I couldn't have dinner in the pub as the chef was too busy, and also the breakfast could be earlier 8.30am is bit late for people that wants to start walking early. But overall it was ok, the location is quite good just next to the path and I had a good sleep.
Arrived late at night, from ferry, welcomed by staff, shown to room, and details explained.
Comfortable room, excellent, friendly, helpful service and lovely breakfast.
All in all, a great experience.
Warm room with spacious en suite, very clean and comfortable. Excellent options for breakfast. Staff very friendly. Close to Ferry terminal and parking close to hotel. Great value for money
We stayed overnight on a Saturday and the pub below was very noisy and loud music.
Staff friendly and helpful. We had lovely breakfast.

Great stay, food and staff were brilliant. The room itself could do with a refresh and the en suite doesn’t have a shower (room 11) but I was glad of the bath. Very comfy bed and would definitely stay again.
Quiet, comfortable and clean. Dining available for lunch and dinner. Full menu breakfast included with overnight stay. Staff were very friendly. A big shout out to Georgina, Lilly, Sophia and a beautiful red headed gal who lugged my heavy bag to our room. They went out of their way to make our first stay in their charming town memorable.
