Really great hotel, perfect spot to see the Aurora. A little out of the way and not close to any restaurants but that’s what makes it a good spot for the Aurora because of a lack of light pollution. The hotel restaurant is good.

A lovely hotel, centrally located on Laugevegur. Although we’d emailed ahead to pay for early check in, our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room and explore the city. Laugevegur is a pedestrian street in the part where the hotel is so it isn’t possible to be picked up or dropped off directly outside. The bus stop for Flybus (and tour pick ups) is number 14 at the bottom of a reasonably steep hill - getting the suitcases up was a challenge...

Hotel Laxnes is located in Haholt which is about a 15 minute drive from Reyakvic. The views from the bedroom was stunning and there are plenty of facilities close by e.g. supermarket, pub and bakery. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel and the number 15 and 6 go into Reyakvic, so it's easy to get into Reyakvic. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday during our stay. Lovely hotel, clean and well maintained. Staff were superb! Although there is not a restaurant in the hotel (just an excellent breakfast) there are several restaurants within a hundred metres of the front door. Location is not central but taxis available within a couple of minutes to take you downtown. We chose it for both price and close proximity of the cruise terminal.

The most amazing hotel / suite apartment you can stay at. Amazing views, amazing staff who look after every detail and care for you whilst staying here. Amazing food and drinks and breakfast delivered to you room everyday. Just perfect! And once again the staff a just sublime/amazing. Thank you for taking care of us. Highly highly recommend!

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. All the staff were Great answers all our questions.Our Hotel room was a nice size & clean.Breakfast was fine wished the Orange Juice would have been freshly squeezed rather than out of a machine. We went on a few Trips that were Fantastic like the Flyover theatre & The Perlan Museum that we both Enjoyed. Iceland is an expensive place to visit. Eating out was pricey The Taxis were very Expensive

Immaculately presented and well located city centre hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering both comfort food and more traditional Icelandic cuisine. Breakfast buffet was amply sized which set us up nicely for our day trips. Room was comfortable and suitably warm. Housekeeping always ensured it was well presented with what seemed like a million cushions each time we returned in the evening. We had a fabulous time here. Room was clean and had everything provided you could possibly need. Breakfast was amazing- ample for breakfast ans snacks for lunch too! I don’t think we ever managed to finish it on any of the days we stayed! Check in was seamless with all the info we needed. Would stay here again without a doubt.

The stylish and welcoming hotel is ideally situated in the city centre. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They booked us day trips and gave advice on things to do and where to eat. Won't hesitate to come back as the hotel made our holiday.

Fantastic hotel in a superb location. Service is excellent and the bagel shop and Le Kock are fab. Got to try the garlic and parmesan potatoes in Le Kock and the smoked salmon bagels are out of this world! Location is fantastic for both the town and for the whale watching/Northern Lights. Bedrooms comfortable and bathroom was great. Not sure about the decor - our room looked like it hadn't been finished but it was a design choice apparently. Not my taste but some might like it. Excellent location on the edge of the tourist area. Very close to Bus Stop 9, which was convenient for day tour buses and airport transfers. Would stay again.

The hotel’s location was excellent and it had an elegant feel to it! Staff were very friendly and also welcoming too. Our room was upgraded on arrival also. I’d definitely recommend staying here to other travellers!

Had a wonderful stay at the Old Charm Apartments. Only problem being 3 days is not long enough
