I like the lake view.
Areas of concerns including:
1. Because there was a noise issue on the previous hotel, upon checking in, I asked the front desk if we could have an upper floor instead. The front desk told he doesn't have the authority and doesn't know how to do it, unless I agree to pay $20 extra to upgrade to a queen room instead. The queen room listed on their website/and Expedia website is $10 more based on today's rate, I do not understand why the front desk tried to charge us twice over the price listed on their web.
Upon entering the room, we noticed part of the curtain wasn't able to be hanged up. So I notified the front desk. This time, he offered to change us a room. So actually he can/has the authority to change rooms? Why he lied to us the first place?
2. The guest lives above us slept late and woke up early. I think he was trying to get checked out by 6 and I could hear his constant movement from 5 to 6 am, the entire hour. In slow time, I would suggest the hotel keep guests in the same level, so all could have a chance to sleep.
This is probably a pet friendly motel, so the carpet is not clean. Maybe they could consider group guests with pets to the same rooms, so guests without pet could live in a room without pet stains?
Lastly, the housekeeper could do a better job…there are molds/stains on the metal parts of the shower door all over. Unbelievable.
