Top Girvan Hotel Reviews
Carlton Hotel
"Gret stay with a quite room."
Fairfield House - Ayr
"What a beautiful place to stay in Ayr. Plenty of parking available. Great food and well stocked bar. All staff were fantastic - not over-bearing, just perfect, polite and couldn't do more to make our stay as lovely as it was. Thank you. Our room (44) was good, very clean, good bathroom/shower etc. We will return!"
Marine Troon
"Since it is a historic building thereโs no control over temperature or any kind of air flow in the rooms without opening a window. Ceiling fans or some kind of thermostat would be helpful. But otherwise the property is spectacular and the staff very helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast as well!"
Western House Hotel
"What a fantastic hotel! We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who showed us to reception. We had a nice clean room with a very comfortable bed . We had a lovely evening dinner served by friendly knowledgeable staff . Breakfast also was excellent If we are back in the area we will definitely stay again . Right next to the racecourse too."
Lochside House Hotel & Spa
"Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food in restaurant. Nice Lochside location. Great location for visiting the nearby Dumfries House a short drive away."
Glenapp Castle
"This castle is fabulous! For Americans it is like stepping into a Downton Abby set. The staff greet you at the door, take your luggage and from that moment forward treat you like royalty. Not only is this a gated property, but you need your sir name in order for the gate to open! Then the drive up the narrow road just enhances your excitement to see the castle. John was great at showing us around and to our room. He was very helpful in understanding where everything was and how to get around. The option to use boots and coats owned by Glenapp to tour the grounds was an added bonus so you didnโt get your own shoes dirty. The room was spacious, clean and very welcoming. To have the option of taking a full tub was amazing. Surprising was the turn down service given without request - we had already retired but would have loved to have this done for us. In the morning we requested some hot tea to enjoy while in the sitting area of our room. We were given a drink credit by using Expedia, but I am wondering if the dinner and breakfast were already included in the pricing. That was not clear, but we did enjoy a very wonderful breakfast while listening to classical pop music - very Bridgerton. Even without the TV references, this is a quintessential castle experience and I highly recommend staying at Glenapp Castle."
The Crosswater
"Very friendly. Good food. Freshly cooked breakfast. Excellent value."
Auchrannie Resort
"The hotel was nice. The food at the Brassels was better than the Cruzerie (?). The hotel was pet friendly. The rooms were a great size and comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't do much as you have to book everything in advance. We were not aware that you had to plan ahead."
Trump Turnberry
"The staff were all manarable and attentive . The rooms were spotless and comfy beds and pillows."
