"Superb hotel, very comfortable clean rooms.
Excellent food, the garlic/pepper prawns were wonderful.
Good choice of beer and wine.
Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Highly recommended."
"We paid, as you can see. We turned up around an hour after booking to check in. We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. Who told us she needed to get someone else to check us in. This other member of staff came around 15 minutes later, so we bought a drink each whilst we were waiting. This other member of staff then told us they didnt realise...
"Very clean and refurbished rooms, tastefully designed. Friendly staff, delicious food. We had steaks and pies and they were excellent. The only place I’d stay in Newark."
