Host very helpful, room spotless with an unexpected surprise of a lovely view and private patio area..very handy if you vape or smoke. Guest kitchen area/breakfast room fully stocked with with various breakfast items ranging from eggs to bread, fresh pots of fruit, cerial, pastries and even fresh coffee if thats what you desire. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Lovely two day break would definately recommend.

The room had everything we needed with the bonus of a patio area overlooking a field so was not over looked. Enjoyed the sun and peace and quiet. Also enjoyed the breakfast and use of the kitchen facilities.

Absolutely great

Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, warm and cozy. Breakfast options are great, loads of choice of teas, pastries, porridge etc. Private parking and host is lovely and helpful too. Would definitely recommend.

2nd time as good as the last

2nd time we have used the Fir Tree for a quiet weekend away in Yorkshire. Lovely setting accommodation has great facilities. we will definitely go again next time we are doing anything near that part of the country

More than just a B&B

Our stay was excellent. This is more than just a B&B.The greeting by Ian is very friendly & welcoming. The room was pleasently decorated & very clean & comfy. A great choice at breakfast which is self service & the kitchen offers personal use for guest. There is Secure parking in the forecourt. Our second stay & hope ti come again .

The host Ian made us very welcome. Gave us plenty of information about the local area. Explained everything fully. The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice. Would fully recommend booking here and we will definitely book again when in the area if available.

Well from the moment we got there we was very happy. We got welcomed and showed to our room. The room was beautifully decorated , clean and tidy. There was a very large shower room and big balcony with everything needed. Our view was of a very big field. We received a basket with towels , hair dryer , toilet roll and some papers with information of take aways , local pub where the coop was , phone number directions everything. There was a kettle , glasses , cups , bottles water , tea coffee biscuits everything. The breakfast was delicious, the service was amazing. We will definitely be back. So calm and reaxing

Well planned accomodation.

I was so impressed that everything linked up and it was a very thoughtfully planned establishment. The breakfast room was very well planned. Good choice. The room overlooked the countryside and was very relaxing.

Very clean and a great kitchen area to make dinner. The place is about 15 mins from the M62. Breakfast is cereal and juices, toast etc. So not cooked but presumably you could use the hob etc . A comfortable stay and a good barn conversion building.

Great place to stop over The barn is nice and our room was spacious and clean (we were given the easy accessable room). The wet room was a bonus so enjoyed the shower and space. The small patio are would be great in the summer to enjoy the beautiful views of the fields. You will share the entrance and hallway with other guests. Kitchen has what you need facilities-wise and was stocked with all needed for a basic breakfast with eggs bread and crumpets as well as croissants. Local pub was really nice. Locals were friendly and the food was well served. Not much else in the area but is a stones throw from some nice places to visit. Overall the price, host was very friendly and contact was super easy and really served it's purpose for our stopover.
