"We chose Canyon Motel for it's proximity to the Wellsboro main street and affordability of amenities, and we were not disappointed. We were able to relax in the Jacuzzi in our room after a long day of hiking and walking, or take in some heat in the sauna which was located in the pool area. The pool was heated, but not too warm and not overly chlorinated, which we have found to be a problem in most hotels/motels. Speaking of problems in other hotels, there were a few small details that made a huge difference to us. There were plenty of towels for our 3 day stay, including pool towels. Also, it's always bothered us how small the trash cans in other hotels can be; the trash cans in our room were bigger than most other places we've stayed and had liners in them. Do you know how refreshing it is to not have to worry about overflowing the trash bin during a 3 night stay? The only small complaint we had was the Do Not Disturb card to hang on the door was very light and easily turned to Room Service Requested by accident. Our last morning there was interrupted by room service because of that. It wasn't a big deal, just something to think about. All in all, we will be recommending Canyon Motel to friends and family."

"Classic old charm....and I mean lots and loads of charm. Decent free breakfast and on site dinning. In center of village so walking about is a must. We visited to view the stars at Cherry Springs which is 45 minutes away. The rooms are small compared to most hotels and our bed was a bit soft for me but just right for my partner. I will gladly take a smaller room just to stay at this hotel. The staff is soo friendly and helpful for directions and recommendations. Place gets a 10 ."
