"I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent stay at the Nittany Lion Inn. While I truly appreciated the overall beauty and aesthetic of the hotel, my experience unfortunately fell short of expectations especially given the price paid for the night. Upon first entering my room, I found a pad wrapper left on the bathroom floor, which immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness and attention to detail. In addition, several basic amenities were either missing or not functioning properly. The shower water remained cold even after running it for a few minutes, and the dispensers in the shower were empty there was no shampoo or soap available. I’m not sure if my room was properly tended too before I arrived but these issues lead me to thinking no. You would think at the least these things would be topped off for the next guest. The bedding was also quite uncomfortable. The pillows were unusually hard and overly puffy, which resulted in neck pain upon waking. At checkout, I briefly mentioned the cleanliness issue and the cold water to the front desk. I was offered a $25 compensation at that time. However, I did not fully go into detail about the other issues, as the lobby was busy and I did not want to take up too much time or inconvenience other guests. After reflecting on the overall experience, I feel that the compensation offered does not adequately address the combination of issues encountered particularly the lack of basic amenities and cleanliness concerns."

"The front desk staff were so polite, professional and kind - a great first impression. The interior design details for this brand are unsurpassed. The beds are SO WONDERFUL. However, this was first stay since being acquired by Hilton and things have slipped. The breakfast area was staffed with only two people - they tried their best, but they were completely understaffed. The wallpaper in the elevator is in dire need of repair, as well as the puckered/peeling ceiling and leaking sink handles in our bathroom. I so love the Graduate brand and the location of the hotel in State College is perfect. I'm sure Hilton acquired Graduate because of its reputation...to keep that reputation, they need to keep up with Graduate standards."
