It has hot dry heat in the height of summer but the town is built with great air conditioned buildings. Outdoor evenings are comfortable. Fresno is the gateway to all the amazing national and state parks of the Sierra Forest.

Fresno, like so many cities in the U.S., has seen better days. It has a bad reputation for some and there are likely legitimate concerns. We found the DT area intriguing only in so far as we like exploring new places and visiting small breweries. Go!

I grew up in Fresno and left about 45 years ago. It was still small back then and is now over 500k people. Fresno offers much. Shopping, restaurants and entertainment, etc. I live in a small town now, but i enjoy big city Fresno very much.

You drive everywhere. There's no place except the tower district or the river park mall where you can walk around. The people are very nice and it seems safe.

"Overall, great. This is a fairly new hotel. Two small issues. One, breakfast room is too small for total number of rooms. Second, AC seemed to cycle on and off a lot and this can be distrubing."
"Loved our stay. Will def be back.
Only thing I would change was the loud mouth older lady out at the pool w/her granddaughter. People were actually leaving the pool. She never shut up, wish she could’ve taught her granddaughter respect of others, instead of listening to her loud disrespectful mouth. Everything was absolutely awesome!!! Thanks for such a great stay!!!!"
"The room was beautiful! Whomever did the interior design was awesome. The yellow and teal colors worked so well together. The lighting in the bathroom was great; the lights surrounded the huge mirror so you can see yourself very clearly. Good water pressure on showers. The toiletries smelled delightful, like citrus. King sized bed was very comfortable. Bed linens were soft. Comforter was high quality. Breakfast was good. I'd stay here again, if in the area."
