"Nice for a small town. Convenient location. We are already planning a return trip. Easy check in/out. Parking is a bit tight, especially when the employee in the green Subaru takes two spots. Ceiling heater in the bathroom is a huge plus, especially when your clothes get damp from the beach."

"We enjoy staying in historical buildings. The castle has a rich history. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was probably one of the best rooms. It is above the restaurant, which was slightly noisy until 9:00. They seem to be a bit understaffed. There was unpleasant throw-up in the library early in the morning, and not much hurry to clean it up. The Sunday night attendent did't know anything about the property, saying it was about 50 years old. It is 135 years old. She also misprogrammed our key. There is but one Mexican restaurant in the castle, open evenings with very nice people. There are no other food services."

"A nice hotel one block up from the water. The room was nice and clean, and quiet. I liked the sitting room. There is a nice garden area to enjoy a glass of wine, coffee, or a snack from the attached shop. There are many restaurant options within walking distance. The only drawback was that you need to pay for parking."

"Classic Queen Anne building a few blocks up the hill about downtown Port Townsend. Owned by a local non-profit focused on homelessness, so staying there helps a good cause. Just six rooms, all of which are unique. We had the nursery which had a comfortable king size bed, small en suite bathroom and a chair. Heidi the person on staff was super friendly and made a wonderful breakfast each morning."

"This is a self-help apartment. It was very expensive. We were afforded no early check in, even though we far in advance notified them that we had a complicated situation. As a result, because we were at an event, could only check in late. Check out is at 10AM, which is an obnoxious, creeping habit of hotels and air b and b's. It does not take six hours to clean a unit. Also, the stay requires a download of an app, but we did not receive check in information (just an email with a broken link) so had to spend time with tech support to get access. Given the price, which was in excess of $500, we expected nice amenities. There was a Keurig with paper cups and instead of drinking glasses there were plastic cups in plastic bags, like you would get at a cheap motel. There were plastic utensils piled in a drawer down the hall. No bottled water or collective filtered water. The unit was nice and decorated in a quirky and cool way, and the space was comfortable- or would have been had we been able to enjoy it. Our night was the same night as a big event in town, so we may have been victims of an algorithm, but the value just was not there. If you can get a better price and don't mind checking in late and leaving early, it is well located (a bit noisy) right off the main drag, and convenient to everything. Parking is at your own risk, as the parking is posted at 2 hours, but the hotel says it is not enforced. We did not get a ticket, so it held true for us."
